Diners ate as fish snapped at their heels in the central Thai province of Nonthaburi. Customers are welcome to play and feed the aquatic animals, which came after floods overflowed into the restaurant. In recent weeks, heavy rains lashed nearly half of Thailand, causing the Chao Phraya river to burst its banks on October 11, 2022. According to the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC), the flooding cost the country around 20 billion baht (US$527) in economic losses in October.

The problem is not with one night of heavy rain. It's when it rains and rains for days and the ground gets saturated. That's when flooding happens. We've got flooding here in Australia because we've had 3 years of heavy rain, which is very unusual. On the plus side, everything is very green.

This year has been incredibly rainy and stormy around the country like never before. Earlier this year, we had to manage water resources to have enough to get through the dry season this year and next year, but now all dams and reservoirs across the country are full at capacity and nearly half of the country's have been flooding. The world's has changed just looking at South Asia like Pakistan, Bangladesh and Southeast Asia are flooding meanwhile many country in Africa are severe drought.

If you want to visit thailand, make sure you read about the issues for tourists there. You will have a better and happier visit without the scams and the taxis trying to rip you off with nonsenses.
(ex: got a taxi from the public taxi booth at Suvarnabhumi airport, taxi driver turn off the meter the moment we left the airport and on the highway. He demand 600bahts for a 300 baht trip. That is nearly whole day eating out in my countries. I told him "No, meter please." he replied that if meters, he has to take detour because the heavy rain flood the roads plus airport fees. Told him i came visit bangkok dozen of time and highway don't flood and airport included last time was less than 300 bahts so meter. NOW. Then he begged for 350bahts. At that point, i got fed up and settled with 350bahts so i can visit my pop at the hospital. Some taxi drivers are cool tho but they are few)
