It’s amazing what you can find in your area to entertain yourselves for free & & start with your local library. My husband and I did this for years when we were paying off student loans. We only went to the movies when a dollar theater opened up near us. We ate all of our meals at home and never went out to dinner. This guy is like a clueless teenager.

How does someone get away with not filing taxes for 12 years?? I didn’t file city taxes when I moved out at 18 because I didn’t know I had too and got a very scary letter lol. Couldn’t imagine how the IRS would handle federal taxes.
the CRA tends to only periodically review taxes on citizens unless they discover you have a history of not filing. They probably hadn't reviewed him in that long and then when they found that he hadn't filed they started garnishing.
The IRS would not wait 12 years to garnish wages. They cleaned out my sister’s entire paycheck one time to prove a point when she missed monthly payments on her back taxes owed! She had not filed taxes for 3 years when they caught up to her. The IRS is terrifying! I assume the other government offices (traffic tickets, government backed student loans) were garnishing his wages. The same sister tried getting away with not paying back student loans and the federal government snatched that back out of her wages. 😅
Quit a job without having found one to replace it while in serious debt and high mortgage? WHY???!!! Get rid of the loser and you wouldn't have gotten into this situation.

I'm sorry but this is simply not true... I'm on my third home now and I'm a contractor and work for some cash, the amount you qualify for always came down to how much you make and can prove, credit score just had to be above 650 I think. They ALWAYS want you to have 1 or 0 credit cards or lines of credit that is not used up at all, and 1 car payment at most. Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac ALWAYS come up with something. If they see you have plenty of down payment money but your debt to income will be very close they might ask you to pay a card or car off. Every house I've bought required me to pay off my credit card and get rid of any extras and cannot have more then 1 car payment that isn't so much $ it puts your debt to income In a bad spot.
@@cjhoward409 She’s not a Descendent of American Slaves. It’s true if you’re Black or Brown but not true for Black Africans that aren’t DOS.
If her dad was named Jerome and her mother was named Lashay she’d be screwed.
I know this because I’m a Black DOS. I make enough but my given name causes difficulties and my heritage.
Am just bless to watch this financial healing program. Thanks
How do people like this even exist?
This is why we bought a modest home in a decent neighborhood. Things happen, and we didn't want to have to struggle or lose our home. Don't let your bills get behind. They knew they had student loans, taxes, tickets. You shouldn't hide it or forget about it. They over spent.
Exactly. You can't buy what the bank says you can afford. 30 years ago the bank said we could spend $400, 000. We spend $205,000 and did a ton of work on it ourselves. Paid off the mortgage in seven years, and never got into debt elsewhere.
I feel like a god when watching these shows. I've learned 10 + years ago about how money management and saving is key to happiness. Having zero debt and not having to worry about paying your next bill is the biggest sigh of relief one can experience. Don't buy things you don't need and spend below your means, and buy used. Those are the things I've followed in life to put me in the financial position I am in now.
Why did she consolidate HIS debt into HER house when they aren’t even married? And put his name on her house knowing he’s bad with money?! WTF!
And she’s 37 and he’s 36, not married. No plan for kids? I mean what’s the point of them being together?
To clear his debt.
She said she needed help to refinance the mortgage and him being on it allowed her to refinance
Kids are not the be all and end all of a relationship!
@@loosingit9355 she could have claimed that she had a “tenant” and the rent payment would have been added as part of her income. She could then also deduct home expenses when preparing her taxes. In this case she wouldn’t have to add his name to the mortgage.
@@eb9844 the rent might not have been enough of an income boost and it could well have been a change in her credit score which that wouldn't have helped.
It’s told that “money isn’t everything” but it is the most significant factor in spousal separation. Me personally, I do not want to be too close to anyone who is irresponsible, period! Don’t rub that bad energy off me. Unpaid tickets, undue taxes, quit my job, buy junk/ unnecessary expenses…
AMEN!
Sometimes people are not perfect. But the fact they both are now on the same page and overcame their challenges together shows they’ve grown as individuals and couples. Not a bad episode. Good for them. Hopefully they did well for themselves.
🤣their a mess today!
@@stumack9755how do you know?
I was quite frustrated with this show when it aired at the time. For this episode she worked, got a mortgage on her own and was fine for years. I thought they were too hard on her. Basically he had financial deception. Hope they made it out okay.
Feel sorry for her. She bought the house - he comes along clears his debt through the house. Entertainment seems his constant focus. Hope the good changes last….
