My middle school Latin teacher told us that the Romans didn't write 4 as 'IV', but instead 'IIII', because V was the number for Jupiter and they thought it would be disrespectful put the I before the V. I've never heard that since then, but when you mentioned it being of peculiar significance that he enumerated that way I couldn't help but wonder if that was related. Interesting stuff! Thanks for sharing the information.

most clocks use the 4 IIII and not IV, big ben in an exception. No one seems to know why.

Not sure it's valuable for me to comment on this now, as so much has interrupted my life since January 2024, but I have managed to read/study each of the Sefer Yetzirah and Timaeus in the past month, before returning toward completing your video series.
Before finding your channel and series many months ago, I was already invested in the I Ching, and Tao te ching, and memorized a portion of the 64 hexagrams, etc. There is a LOT of synergy then, plus with Solomon's Proverbs and Wisdom, which also tie in through Khunrath's Amphitheatre, and which he also hard links with Dee and the Hieroglyphic monad multiple places. So the synergy is awesome, especially with Sefer Yetzirah and Timaeus now.

I've been waiting for this kind've material to be explained to me, all my Life! Thank you so much Terry. I am 'getting it' because my Mind always took an interest in how things worked; my 4 planets in Scorpio helped me want to investigate and not just accept things. NOW I am ready to hear the next part of my education as my Sagittarius Midheaven smiles on, wondering why it took me so long to get here. I have to say, the tortoise usually does win the race. These teachings are gems, each one. Very sacred so thank you and Alan for your magnificent clarity of thoughts and vibration. :) Especially yours, Terry!! Namaste!

I enjoyed watching this video, not least because in it you have classified me as a Genius!! 🙂
After watching the video on Theorem VIII it is obvious (to me) what Dee is saying with regards the Denary of the Rectilinear Cross and it's application to Dee's Sun and Moon, which, as far as I can tell is a unique 'conjunction'.
As you explained in Theorem VIII the cross becomes the X; placing the X in Dee's Sun gives the exact position of the Moon, as it is the semi-circle that passes through both top points of the X where they meet the Circumference of the Sun. The 'Vesica Piscis' between the 2 is not a true Vesica Pisces as the two circular forms do not co-share their centres and circumferences, which results in the length of the vesica = root 3 if the radius of the Sun/Moon circles = 1.
I'm not sure from what you have said in all your previous videos, if you realise that the cross of the Elements in Dee's Monad is NOT a rectilinear cross, or rather not the Denary - it is an octad consisting of lines of 1, 2, 2 and 3 (=8). When you transpose Dee's cross into the Solar disc the point is at the exact base/lowest point of the Moon, which is exactly 1 unit ( or half the Solar radius/ 1/4 of the Solar diameter) above the centre of the Sun. Where the Vesica Piscis has length of root 3, this vesica has length of root 2!
Four such 'Moons' rotated around the circumference would generate a Square (Earth?)
Each of the four Elements of Dee's Cross when making circles from them would produce 4 circles: 2 identical ones of radius = 2, with the common centre point (of Light/Fire): one of radius = 1 and one of radius = 3. All have a common centre giving 3 equally spaced concentric circles, an image i'm sure you would be very familiar with.
As to the Alchemical use of Fire. Fire is the First Element and from it the other 3 are created, this is easily seen in Dee's Monad when viewed either the correct way up or inverted, as most of us read top to bottom. In physical Alchemy nothing can proceed without the use of fire, calcination (burning to ashes) is the first stage of the Magnum Opus.
As a keen student of both Alchemy and Geometry I hope I have been of some assistance in clarifying further some of what Dee had in mind with his mysterious Monad?
My thanks for your production of this particular video as it has aroused my interest in a particular geometric phenomenon: the relationship of the Cube to the roots of 3, 2 and of 1 (being side, face diagonal and body diagonal ratios of a cube) with Dee's Moon giving the root 2 length vesica, Vesica Piscis the Root 3, now where would the 'Moon' conjunct with the 'Sun' to give a vesica length of root 1?? Hmmmm.. off to work that one out.

I see UA-cam has added in "chapter divisions." Well, that's helpful, I guess...
