    Thankyou both for all your hard work. If you join the coalition is it international as I’m in Aberdeen, Scotland. Also I have to ask. I’m presuming you added the sound effects in when the camera panned to Billy??

      I’ll defer to Josh on the membership question. Yes, sound effects added.

    I don't think Bob or Bell died during the Kid's escape. After all, Lincoln is bigger than Sumner and there's no death photo of either of them.

      Jason, you are absolutely correct. I have it on good authority, in Brushy's Own Words, that he rode straight out of Lincoln leaving Bell and Olinger still living. I think the truth is that Bell took a siesta by the outhouse and the Kid simply took advantage of his good fortune when he opened the door and saw the Deputy snoring away. Bell awoke a moment later, realized his gravity of his error and ran to the Wortley to inform Bob. So shocked was Olinger at Bell's gross negligence that he choked on a piece of his steak, and Bell ran back to the courthouse while Bob was turning blue and someone was preparing to execute the Heimlich Maneuver. By the time Olinger recovered from the trauma, Bell was grabbing Olinger's Whitney 10 gauge from Pat's office, knowing that Bob was bound to kill him over the screw up. By the time Olinger approached the corner of the building, Bell was waiting for him at the upstairs window, mimicking the Kid's voice and saying "Look up old boy and see what you get." After dispatching Deputy Bob, poor Bell began realizing the magnitude of his failure and paused at the top of the stairs in despair. Out of his rage he fired a random shot... which caromed off the adobe and went right through him, right side to left. In momentary shock Bell re-holstered, stumbled down the stairs and out the back. Gasping, with his last breath, he pleaded with Godfrey Gauss to make up some story to salvage the reputation of the deputies for posterity's sake. That's my conclusion from my personal investigation in Lincoln last September, deduced from the "spirits" that spoke to me. (That's right, I had drink or two at Bonito Valley...)

    I would like to see some shows on Pat Garrett , the more people hate him the more i like Pat. Theres plenty of Pats grand kids alive , maybe you fellas could talk to them. I have a feeling Pats boys took care of mr brazel because a few years after he said he killed Garrett he was never heard from again.

    Thank You, Thank You....for giving a shout out for the Dudley Court of Inquiry ! Still have copies of the new edition. I love your UA-cam formate. I'm catching up on all the episodes. The part about "perhaps" exhuming Olingers remains and finding the buckshot...OMG...that would be the most amazing find ! Hope to see you all in New Mexico again this year if you will be traveling that way. I think my dad would have loved you guys !

    What makes you think they didn’t take the buckshot out if he had a autopsy ? Just wondering .

    • @Rollin_L
      @Rollin_L 8 місяців тому +1

      There is no record of an autopsy for Olinger, that I am aware of. It's not as if there was any question regarding cause of death. Between the buckshot and eyewitnesses to the shooting, there was little room for doubt. Also, I am doubtful that there was anyone in Lincoln who was qualified or so appointed to do whatever an autopsy procedure consisted of at the time. And what possible reason would there be for one? Garrett did make a handwritten probate record of Olinger's possessions, which survives today. It includes the make, model and serial of the shotgun, for example, and so that firearm is well documented to this day. That was all that was legally required, I expect.
