This Jeromy clip was the best by far. The acting! Meryl Streep please present the award to Jordaline cause she’s serving Oscar
I love that you don't have the typical UA-camr white bookshelfs. Nothing wrong with those but it's nice to see something different and yours are gorgeous 😍
THIS WAS TOTALLY WORTH THE WAIT!!! IT'S BEAUTIFUL
I love it. And it totally made sense to face out the books you haven't read. It's so clear when you look at the shelves and every time you read on you can turn it. 😍
The esthetic of the room with or without the manga is awesome and with the table and the new chair, perfection!! I actually like the manga section a lot, it's the contrast. Kind of.
At the beginning I organized my shelves by genre.
But now I have a specific manga genre that I read more so I organize them by publisher and then author.
And the rest of my manga and my books are organized after the mood or feelings I had while reading them. 🤍
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE, TURN IT UP!!!
love the resulttttt
BABE WAKE UP JORDALINE UPLOADED HER BOOKSHELF TOUR
May I call you Professor Jordaline?! This is giving ALL the dark academia vibes! Stunnin!!
To me you’re the Bailey Sarian of booktubers… I was having some withdrawals without you.
I organise by genre and then author last name, and I have my unread books wrapped in book pages on a seperate bookcase to pick out at random
I love it!! So worth the wait. I recommend looking out for a big gorgeous rug for the middle of the room, I think it would really pull it all together and be very dark academia. I organise my fiction alphabetically and my nonfiction by genre. That's what works for me 😙😙
New Jordaline 😊🎉🎉🎉where have you been queen! Like the week was a total drag until this moment 😁
Love the result! Worth the wait! I agree with the ambiance lightening suggestion. I'm a huge fan of the GE Cync rechargeable bulb options. I usually organize books by genre then size. The most important piece for when organizing, is quick accessibility. As a student of religious studies, my shelves are overloaded all the time. At this point, most of my books are all multi volume sets. A sizable amount of pocket sized books, and a number of dictionaries. Accessibility and practicality is what forms the organization. I have a very small amount of classical fiction and philosophy, fits onto one shelf, that is arranged in alphabetical order. I live vicariously through you! You read (and store) the books I don't have time to read, and you help fill out my holiday shopping lists with your reviews. All the hearts to you Jordaline😻
My books. Organized?? 🤔. 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣😂 Nice job Jordaline, your shelves look fantastic! ❣️
They look beautiful and the fact that you gave your books the master bedroom, love it. 😂 I'm a fan of the turned books, ever since I saw Ali do it, I've done it too. Haven't started making book covers, but I've contemplated it for all the neon romance covers!
love it!!! ps: you could put glass doors on the manga shelves -- coloured glass! like red or green omg... then you'd be able to neutralize their cute covers and keep the old spooky library vibes going
Such a cozy library!!
I like to just mix small and big books together, and then I Love the more old and sometimes a bit ugly paperback books mixed with beautiful hardback books, nothing organized 😅 I like when things aren't too "new" and "clean" looking, and when things are matching a bit too much. - But arh I LOVE your shelves! they are so pretty!! And i love the way you have some of the books with their spines on display and some are not. Very cool looking!!!
I do like the idea of turning the books you have read page side out. Are you going to place your chair catty corner in the corner in front of your bookshelves with a standing lamp beside it or a hanging lamp above it? You could then put the desk in the center of the blank wall and arrange a gallery wall around it. As well as placing some dark academia stuff on the desk.
Yessssss. This has been my favorite bookshelf reveal. Your room is stunning and reflects your beauty perfectly!! The music at the reveal actually made the hair on my arms stand up. Excellent dramatic choice!!! Plllllllease don’t fire Jeremy. He is family- he doesn’t listen and comes in late but he’s family. Besides who would you put in his place- Tiffany? I don’t think so😂😂😂. You had my sides hurting with the Jeremy skit. Loooooove it!!! Thank you sooooo much for sharing with us 💕💕💕💕
You could put the manga in the closet if you think it clashes too much, but I think it turned out gorgeous
The library is gorgeous!! I used to read manga pretty much exclusively when I was 18-25 and collected a ton. I had my first job and manga was just starting to take off in the U.S. and I was so excited. I've recently gotten back into reading it and find it a good way to break reading slumps. I just pick out a series and binge it and it usually gets me back in the mood to read novels. I tend to wait until series are finished because I don't have the attention span to wait for each volume to come out anymore, and I always find it jarring jumping back into the middle of a series. My husband is the opposite, he has several series that he reads the brand new volumes each time they come out and I can't wrap my head around how he keeps up.
I love it .... great job.👏 Personally I organize my books by books I've read and unread, but I don't have many books because most of my reading is library books. I also don't have much space. But, I love how you turned the books that are unread, spine out, good idea, that will make it so much easier to pick a new read. 📚
Your Library is Amazing!!! It’s perfect. I just want to go in, peruse your books, sit down and read!! I think yours is my favorite library I’ve seen. I geeked on just seeing your horror collection on the shelf!
Love how it turned out! I have two main shelves - one of all my unread books and one of my read books. Then I just put series together and what looks good together lol
It looks amazing 🤩 perfect! Love those shelves and the way you placed your ornaments and other furniture! I order mine by genre and size. Jeremy needs to stay 😂x
I absolutely love, love, love your library!!! ❤️💞💗💕
Vibees. I organize my books by size and i like have a very eclectic aesthetic. Its like boho, witchy, dark academia, gothic, fairy, kawaii, cutsy, skater/stoner, colorful. Idk its weird but it works
HOW has it already been two months??? Love thebookshelves!!! (also maybe you could remove the door to the library! (and then just stick it back on when you move out LOL
Stunning! I have an idea for behind the door. It would definitely bug me if I couldn't open the door more than that. You could put a low stool (maybe 2) there and stack books on the stool - very dark academia and it would not come out as far as a desk or shelf.
I have just emerged from a Ren rabbit hole, and am trying to catch up on booktube. I missed your face, and I loved how you did this. So good to see you living in your new space.
I love the idea of facing the ones you have read spine-in. It would create a visual TBR.
I worked at Smithbooks when I was in university, and I now must organize my books like a bookstore. I separate the fiction and nonfiction. Nonfiction is by subject. The paperbacks are by genre, and alphabetical by author. The hardcovers and trades are by author.
this was a lot of fun ❤ i like to organise my books first by language, then read/unread and in these categories by author. manga/comics are separate.
oooooooh i was having a bummer stress day and now it's all gonna be okay cuz i have a jordaline dark academia organization vid to watch yaaaaaaay thank you for giving me a temporary break from the garble of my braaaaaaain 🙃 the last dark academia room makeover vid was the one that introduced me to the channel, what a fabulous journey with jordaline and jeremyyyyyyyyy!
And the manga shelf looks amazing!!
I have 4 bookshelves. The big IKEA shelves in the guest room have fantasy, science fiction, and horror in alphabetical order. The shelves in my bedroom have my TBR and everything else. The final shelf in the living room is dark academia decor and old fashion looking books. I love the dark academia look.
woah the finish product looks amazing
everything is absolutely stunning
Are you allowed to paint? A gallery wall on a dark dark green or charcoal colour woule be chefs kiss for dark academia vibes. Just an idea! Also love the music that you used for this video! Great job on the library ❤
My library is all over the house right now...its just split by unread and read...but one day, I hope to have them organized by genre and then size and vibes similar to yourself. As much as I would love to have my own library, I don't think that will happen until my three boys are older. But even books all over the house can be nice if organized and decorated well. God, I love library videos!
I like the fact that your regular books are seen first when you look into the room. That way the dark academia aspect of the room will be what you first see. I would think one would have to turn slightly to see the Manga wall. I love the way you organized you regular books. Looks great.
I organize mine alphabetically by author last name. With what i read pages facing out like you have. But i also have a nonfiction, manga, fairyloot, classics and dragon section 😂
I love the look of the backwards books. I have my read and TBR on separate book shelves. And I organize by genre. I love seeing all of your TRB, there were 1 or 2 of them that I think you wont like. Have you ever thought about posting on the patron, maybe our choices for books we think you won't like as much? Or We could just tell you which ones we want you to read sooner than later? and you could make a vlog?
Jeremy is such a nuisance.
The library looks fantastic! Absolutely stunning
I AM OBSESSEDDDDD omg! The vibes are immaculate!
Turning the books you haven't read out is such a smart idea, and it looks amazing! ❤❤
I love the Jermy bit!!!!
I organized my bookshelves by genre, then by height and then by aesthetics. Your shelves look beautiful 🖤
Damn you’re good Jordaline!!!You’re shelves are sooooo appealing to the eye 🙌
I could curl up and watch this video over and over again. Ultimate comfort content 🙌
Ahhh love this video and I organize my shelves by genre and series!
If I have a lot of backlist books by one author those are all paired together like a series would be lol
When I saw you had uploaded, my eyeballs nearly popped out of their sockets.
What an amazing, cozy video this was! The shelves look stunning 😍
Omg your library room is stunning !!!! It’s so gorgeous!! You’re so creative!!! Can’t wait to see when you get the other shelves!
Absolutely gorgeous!!! I organize mine roughly be genre and then author but honestly ..... I'll just say it's eclectic.
OMG!! I have pretty much all of the same manga!!! Great taste!
The library looks amazing! I organize mine by genre and size as well. Although I like the look of doing it by color so recently I have devoted a bookcase to only hardback thrillers that are sorted by color and also my paperback contemporary romances are sorted by color.
The asmr in this!
Mine are mostly alphabetical, Stephen King has his own bookcase, and manga, starwars, and ones that are really pretty pretty together get their own smaller Billy bookcases.
P.s. I love how your library looks
Luv your library, great job! I organize by genre and author. ❤
Great organization..i love shojo manga the most..some shonen jump..but gotta love romance. When i packed up my books 5 years ago when moving i felt the samevway ad when it cane to unpacking them as well.📚☕🌈😎
Def academic vibes shelves look beautiful I can’t decide on mine always like a change but generally like my unread in their own shelves
High key: I organize by vibe. I tend to group into genre, but I would be lying if I told you that it all made sense to everyone but me. We go by vibes in this house lol
You nailed it girl! I'm in love with your library. I've been following along for a few months now but haven't really commented until now as I watch you on my TV. But TODAY I had to grab the laptop and make this comment bc your library is EVERYTHING! Your content just gets better and better (though it's heavy on my wallet ). I need to replay this video right now. Have a lovely day, Sally x
The bookshelf is GIVING 🤌
What a transformation! I'd say you nailed the vibe! ♡
And this came just in time - I got a brown/black Billy with glass doors. I'm also going for a sorta similar vibe, dark/moody and studious, but I got some cutesy/random things in it too that don't entirely fit the vibe (My Castlevania Funko Pops, picture of my big fluffy cloud kitty), but I also balance out those things with more vibey-stuff, like my my typing keyboard, a couple hats and black candles.
I only have the one Billy bookshelf, so keep that in mind. What I do is my TBR on the top shelf/most accessible, along with my journal collection. Then my favorites are somewhere in the middle, and the bottom are for ones I've already read or will want to keep for reference later. Manga is spread throughout, but I don't exactly hate the way it looks.
Also, I just learned that you have Empire of the Vampire. Yeah. That. Whenever you start THAT as a buddy read, I'm gonna 10000% join that sheez.
that collection of fruits basket is making me think maybe i need the new omnibus editions.... tasty
Lovely! One of the best I've seen!
I love this. The way you styled the Manga goes really well with the whole Dark Academia vibe. I try to make my Apt like the vibe from the Nomad Hotel Library/Bar. If you Google some photos you'll see its very Dark Academia as well.☺
Talking about one side colorful and the other dark academia took me straight to thinking of Enid & Wednesdays room which could look pretty cool.
Beautiful! That had to take so long to do and film and edit. 5⭐️!!
I organise by hight with series together, but after that point I just kinda go by ✨vibe✨ because I read mostly YA mid grade fantasy so there isn’t much of a need to sort by genre.
Stunning!!!!! 😱😍
When I had a library, I organized my books by genre, then by my favorite authors down to my least favorite in the genre. Then I'd do the next genre and my favorite to my least favorite, and so on.
SO PRETTY
I love how it turned out. And like hear me out, but what if for the manga wall closest to the door you didn't have the little table, but had like a dark velvety or tweed tie back curtain to help darken that wall but that wouldn't hide all of the books
I don’t really have a theme or a certain way of organizing because I don’t have a lot of space so I just have to make do with what I have. I do however try to keep a shelf of only my favorites 😻
Great video Jordaline 💕
I can’t believe you play favorites!
I love your hair like this ❤
The librarian inside won’t let me organize any way but Dewy Decimal. Genre, alphabetical by author. Also, I have a weird thing about having to see all spines at all times.
It looks very good🖤✨️
OMG somehow it's even better than I imagined. I wish I had more room for more shelves. 😭 Also where did you get that gorgeous couch thingy?
‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ Really Great Video :)
STUNNING!
At all times I’m reading a novel and a manga. Idk why I do it but I love my system lol maybe try doing that? Also I love your manga shelves they’re so colourful and cute LOL
The library looks AMAZING 👏🏻
Very therapeutic video! Love the end result! ❤
oh its so lovely!
Your thumbnail is stunning!!
I like to organize my books by genere mostly, then inside of that I will group them together depending on if it's a series or by the author's name.
It looks great! I think magnetic lights could really elevate the look if you got some for underneath the shelves! I’ve been looking into doing that with mine.
I organize by genre and then loosely height. I don't stress height too much because within genre, I tend keep books with minority representation together so I know to prioritize those reads. I also keep series and works by the same author together under genre.
You have me cracking up😂
Really nice bookcase..I am working on mine!
Since most of my books are fiction and various kinds of fantasy, I organize them by genre, group if it's by or revolved around the same author (like i did with my small collection of Tolkien books), series and by fantasy Classes: Fighter/Warrior, Cleric, Rider, Ranger, Rogue, I have an entire shelf that is dedicated for the Assassin, Caster, Hunter, superhero fiction and one shelf for a few Classics. on the manga, they're simply categorized by subject like sports, music, supernatural, dark fantasy and one shelf consists of some Sherlock Holmes retellings like Sherlock Bones and Moriarty the Patriot.
Jeremy needs to be fired at this point....
what are we paying him for smh 🙄
who is he?
@@katerina9159 nobody. Literally.🤣
@@katerina9159 she’s just acting out a scene using the name Jeremy for the other character
Jeremy needs to go. Your library is breathtaking. It looks absolutely gorgeous. Oh I’m never moving. I know that took forever but the payoff. Chef’s Kiss
No I get you. I probably have 50+ volumes of various mangas in my room and I've maybe read around 20 in the span of a year or year and a half. I dont know why I never get to them lol. I have realized a bit that I prefer one-shot mangas or mangas that have lesser volumes given the shelf space. Also I dont have the patience to be reading 100s of volumes of a series (One piece I'm looking at you) even though I'd like to. I guess the best way to chip at them is to mood read, pick up a volume whenever you feel like reading one? I dunno.
I own so much Manga that I haven't read yet 😅 I organize from fav to least fav books.
Also STUNNING REVEAL ❤ love the reading stool 😍 If I can suggest, multiple old rugs mix-matched on the floor would look so cool with ur space
Do more manga reading vlogs and you'll fly through them 😂 I would watch your manga vlogs
And I have this issue where I need more bookshelves, but when I sit there and think O'er could buy a bookshelf or for that amount of money how many books could I get😅
Instead of a galley wall you can add some floating shelves
I'd be half tempted to take the door off the hinges if the desk stays there.
I organize first by genre, then by height and if there's any alphabetizing to be done in the height organizing, I do those by author's last name. That's for everything but romance, I organize romance by color.
Gorgeous and stunning 😍 ✨️ 💖
Love the set up! Mine are done my genre then alphabetical by authors last name. I have a few genre stacks that are mostly by size/visuals (non fiction, gender/sexuality/Feminism, classics and general litfic/misc). The flow of the shelves sort of make sense. Adult fantasy to adult lit fic/random, soft/contemporary romance into dark romance into Paranormal romance. Then to ya fiction/fantasy.
Looks good, but why do you have so many books backwards?
