i turned my bench grinder into belt sander in the reason of safety, i already saw a bench grinder's grinding stone shattered into pieces.
in this video ill show you how to convert a bench grinder to belt sander with simple tools.
i used 6204 bearing for rollers so it will take less work.

Грамотно сделал шкив на мотор. Я собираюсь себе сделать что-то подобное, и вот ни как не мог придумать ка самому сделать направляющий шкив, а тут все элементарно. Красава!!!

Now, this project is the simplest, most effective belt sander conversion out of all the grinder-sanders that I've seen on UA-cam!! Now... Just paint it Orange with stripes and start taking orders! Anyone would pay $130 to $150 for it.

Excellent idea and tutorial. If you had a wire wheel on the other side, you could debur after you shape with belt sander.

great job! I'd suggest adding a bolt on plate to your piece behind the belt that can be changed when it wears down.

Will all due respect to creativity and diligent to reinvent the wheel, I noticed that most youtubers have already had some makita, dewalt, bosch, maktek, tekiro, ryu, black decker, or at least china's cheap powertools to build another tool. I mean, why not just buying one if the price is relatively affordable. I am looking for a DIY to build a tool with minimum available tools, yet can't find one.

Not sure which country you are in, but your electrical outlets are CRAZY looking! What an interesting concept, the cords actually fit into the housing so you can't accidentally bump the cord and damage it. That's a really good idea.

А ведь можно ещё к двигателю прикрутить плиту а всю эту конструкцию сделать поворотной в горизонт. Всё, идея прекрасная. Возьму за основу и буду себе делать подобное

Отличный станочек, но на упорную пластину ленты лучше наклеить керамическую кафельную плитку,тогда лента будет скользить легче и её износ с внутренней стороны будет минимальным. Также желательно верхний регулирующий ролик сделать бочкообразным-это классика. ЛАЙК+ПОДПИСКА
Верхний полик из подшипников, не представляю, как его сделать бочкообразным без токарного станка.
А что, если бочкой сделать ведущий деревянный ролик?
И еще, как успокоить заднюю часть ленты, чтобы не било её?

Course my wife had to run the drill while I sharpened the knife. Lol
