Unfortunately timely for me. Lost my dad 5 days ago.
Very touching. Thank you for documenting these stories.
Sorry to hear that, hang in there.
Very sorry to hear that.
I lost my dad in 2018. It gets easier with time but allow yourself the time and space to grieve. It comes and goes for me personally. Lately I’ve been speaking on what I feel and it helps tremendously.
@@BryanBirks I appreciate the insight, Bryan. Truly enjoy your content.
Even your photographer interviews have so much soul. Usually it's a "walkie talkie" thing, but wow Bryan. You're an original voice on YT, can't say that enough. Keep fn going man.
I’m happy that you think that. I try to do each photographer right and I’m glad that it shows. Thank you 🖤
I played it during my seminar yesterday and the students were really moved. Not easy these days lol
Haha well that is delightful to hear!
I'm lost for words with the tenderness of this work, it has really taken me back, thanks for sharing this work
My pleasure. Glad you got something out of it. 🖤
I see a Bryan Birks video uploaded, I press play
🖤🖤🖤
This is incredibly deep. It really gives a good glimpse into the complicated lives and thoughts of the fathers in our lives and how complicated relationships can be. Thank you for sharing this. Going to call my dad today.
Absolutely.
Well, I mean, man...I thought I'd watch a little analog content from one of the authentic youtubers and then go to work as usual. Now I have a lot to unpack - your progression as an artist is fantastic Bryan. I greatly appreciate your ongoing willingness to share the work and stories of these other wonderful artists. Thank you for sharing this one.
Thank you for the kind words!
I promise the next video will be as deep as a kiddie pool. Haha
What a privilege to experience this.
thank you.
Our pleasure 🖤
Thank you for your honesty and willingness to share your art with the world.
🖤🖤🖤
Thank you for having these conversations. They not only shine lights on artists but also give credence to folks who create in their own.
Love.
Appreciate it very much!
This is incredible! Really beautiful and powerful story. Thank you for sharing this, both of you ❤
Thank you 🫶🏻
Thank you so much for sharing your story and photos with us Brian. And thank you Bryan for bringing him on
My pleasure. Thanks for watching.
Wow. Beautifully done.

Thanks for watching, Chris. Really means a lot.
Wow! Very moving & another above the norm video.
Glad you liked it 🖤
i am in tears. thank you for sharing to Brian and Bryan.
I only cried twice editing it.
@@BryanBirks I can imagine that. thank you again for doing this
Beautiful work Bryan!
Thank you kindly!
This is so beautiful! I lost my dad in 1995 when I was 16 and at that time we really could not afford any kind of cameras. In today's age of abundance I look back at those times and we have only few photos of him with us.
Same over here. Not many photos especially near the end of my dad’s life. I wasn’t even into photography yet. Live and learn. Capture all that you can while you can.
Thank you !
Thank YOU
Wow…amazing content. Thank you so much for this insightful presentation.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Lost dad on Boxing Day to cancer so had a good cry watching this - great work and sensitively told, thanks Van and Bryan
Sending love your way, Andrew!
Superb, thanks for the video, and the photos are moving.
Many thanks 🖤
Very powerful story and project, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for listening 🫶🏻
Incredible!
🖤
Rich, beautiful, deeply empathetic work, Bryan. Thank you for sharing it with us here.
Thanks for listening!
Wow powerful~!!!, his word resonate with me because a few years back I almost lost my Dad to heart attack, he drove himself to the hospital, and they told him to take a seat, woke up in the middle of the floor with nurses around him. I'm lucky to still have him around but Brian lost his dad so young. Thanks again for another wonderful inspiring video Brian!.
Drove himself to the hospital…what a boss. Glad he recovered. Hopefully many more years with him around!
Thanks @@BryanBirks
Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦 🥶 FANTASTIC VIDEO! AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHY! Really really moving… Grief and loss speaks to me in a special way because that’s what people back in my home country of Ukraine 🇺🇦 live EVERY DAY… for the past 700 days since the war started on Feb 24, 2022 when Russians invaded early morning with barrage of cruise missiles and bombs. Since then they’ve committed unspeakable war crimes and atrocities, many Ukrainian lives were lost… and those who survive are living in permanent grief… ✌️
It’s a terrible thing.
Sadly the people in power only do what they know best…make money and go to war. It’s a tale as old as time. I only hope that people can do what is right before it’s too late for the entire world.
Was going to write a long comment but I'm sort of at a loss for words, this video hit me hard.
🖤
That was a moving video. Great work!
Glad you enjoyed it 🖤

What camera Brian use ? Fuji or Mamiya ?
I believe he uses a GFX but I could be wrong.
