The carved rooster inside the quatrefoil of the dutch gable is a nice little touch. But I must say, the roof tile work is exquisite on this, with its alternating wavy and rectangular patterns
It is a quirky 🤪 little place. We passed by on another adventure, and it looked abandoned until we saw what it was a part of. You can pay and visit the lovely Mansions 👍
@@ConqueredAdventures Since you ARE there, how about YOU visit the "lovely mansion" and learn something about it for yourselves, so that you can actually HAVE some history to talk about as your title here proclaims?
@alecs1196 Hi, thank you for watching. I would have loved to go there on the day, but unfortunately, we were on another adventure. And yes, we are going to visit this year. Sorry it wasn't for you 👍
Thank you for your comment 👍 yes a country estate, but not a gatekeepers cottage, ground keepers cottage as the gate is the opposite side of land. Look into it, Flintham Hall
@@ConqueredAdventures Yes, there are several of these around where I live. However most are now isolated from the original property they were part of One sits on the main road with a modern block of apartments overshadowing it. Thankfully though it's in a good state of repair and occupied. They all look marvelous but are a little on the small size.
Thanks for your comment. I'm sorry there wasn't enough for you as time goes on I'll improve. I didn't know of this place till we stumbled across this beautiful little home, so when I got home, I looked it up and put some information in... one day, I might have convinced me to talk on the mic as I don't like my own voice, lol, but I really do appreciate your comment 😊
Love the history on this place, fab little explore xx
Thank you. We didn't expect to see this place, got to go back and see in the inside of Flintham hall ☺️

That's an interestingly designed place, I like random double glazed window in the middle 😂
