Emily's got a hard edge that I admire in people. It's like her creative spirit is knashing its teeth just beneath the surface. Love her dark sense of humor---the FALLING DOWN analogy is so spot on. She got some wonderful shots, too! I had no idea Jessica Lange was a shooter, and a talented one at that. Thanks, Paulie and Emily! Keep it up!

Only 1 year! So much of photography is self-portraiture and that can take a while to discover. She’s going to get there incredibly fast with her drive and awareness. Glad to see a woman on the show and hope you can get more. Another great video. Thanks for creating and sharing.

Man, this is the first channel I'm watching 4 30min videos one after the other with no break. I love this content. I was in new York almost a year ago for the first time with my camera, and all this incredibly resonates with me. I'll just keep taking pics, cause you can't stop that feeling inside of you. And these videos are SOOO real, it's satisfying to know we're all on the same boat.
Emily Rocks! As a photographer and from what I have seen in this video, as a person. Great attitude about, well, everything it appears. Love her work and personality and hope we see more of her work in a gallery or book some time.

Each of those photos hit hard. Its incredible how quickly she (and other great street photographers) spots not only the subject but the entire context and captures it in a way that adds to the story through composition. Thanks for bringing fantastic people to our attention with these videos

Love the humor and very inspiring to see her passion. Owning a large photography company in Hawaii and only focusing on paid jobs like family portraits, weddings, engagements, advertising, and fashion, I admire seeing Artisits at work like Emily whom I can see her passion and can imagine her struggles having to pay bills and keeping afloat. I know If I was in New York taking pictures of kids, and butt cracks, and people in general, I also would be suicidal in one week. I'd be constantly worried about making a living, yet Emily still continues forward with the addication to capturing daily life and what it unfolds. Her work definitely deserves a best selling book on life in the city, it's hard being in the trenches when your right up in people's faces and intruding on them and being yelled at.. Keep going Emily, Id like to buy your latest book when available.

Good episode, I get a sense she is fighting a lot of internal demons and like many of us photography is our therapy.
I like Emily's literal perspective through the lens- shooting lower and tilted upwards, it's a lot more unique!
