I read the book before the movie came out and it became my favourite book, and I was really worried the film wasn't gonna do it as well and kinda butcher the storyline, but I loved it so much, they did it perfectly. Love the edit

so i’ve passed the “reading the book” and “watching the movie” phases (all in a matter of like eight hours might i add) now i’m in the “watching the the youtube edits and crying cause i’m so single” phase (again, it’s the same day) i think simon vs the homosapiens agenda is my new comfort book and i wanna reread it already lol

Watching the movie made me cry because my mom outed me to my dad and my grandparents. I specifically asked her not to, and she refused to tell me their reactons. Eventually I learned my dad was homophobic at first, but my mom talked to him about it. I didnt even get to know what he was thinking then, and I still don't. Because of that I feel like I cant fully trust either of my parents

God I love watched this movie this week and I was bawling my eyes out,1: because I am gay and I can relate to what Simon went through and felt,the end when his friends got mad and shit hit hard cause they didn’t know what he was going through,he was just confused
2: I’m happy for simon cause he ended up finding his love after all the shit he went through
