    Very well explained Tom and the fact that you’ve spent most of your life upside down on a bike you make it look easy 👍👍👍

    At 53, I'll probably never get to experience any of these tricks, but you're so casual, and explain it so well, it seems almost feasible. Thanks Tom!

      Was explaining a one hander to a 53 year old friend of mine at the dirt park today and he really wants to learn it... He's got so good at jumping over the last year that it wont be a problem at all once he gets the commitment for it. You're never too old mate 🤙

    Back when I was doing 360s I found that where I looked was important as well. When I was first trying them I was just turning my head and I was spinning but penciled out and landing rear wheel first. I started looking down at the ground as I turned my head and it made the spin easier, more comfortable, and landing both wheels at the same time.

    I've watched countless hours of biking videos, progression videos is what I was searching for. Breaking down the different steps has already got my mind doing the starter steps to practice and improve on. You're building my confidence before I even get on the bike! Keep sharing your gifts with the world!!!

      @@TomCardy If she tries them in the foam pit she will have them in no time, most of my friends needed like 10 tries to get around completely after my explanation, im sure she would get it with ease as soon as she realizes that it isn't bad at all to land on the back 🤘

    Very well put together and presented Tom. I think the whip and Indian air and no foot can are still some of the most awesome tricks ever. I am definitely not at the skill level required for those big tricks but I can do small jumps and a little bunny hop with a little whip action certainly spices up a standard bunny hop quite nicely. For me though, I am seriously concentrating on manuals. It's the one thing that gives me the biggest struggle so each Sunday for the last 3 weeks and this will be ongoing the 20 inch BMX comes out and I do a solid session of just trying manuals. I have been creating a video journal too of my progress each week. still waiting for you and Kara to pull sick side by side manuals, that will be epic.

    on what did you start practicing the backflip to don’t get hurt ? Because you said that we can get hurt on a airbag.

    • @ironeinar
      @ironeinar 10 місяців тому

      Into a foam pit, if you just don't let go of your bike when doing them into a foam pit, you basically cant get hurt... I did hundreds of flips into a foam pit and I've never gotten hurt... Only on the real jump lol
      Ah and the most important thing is to always look back with your head, so you see the landing as quickly as possible.

      @@ironeinar what is a foam pit ?

    • @ironeinar
      @ironeinar 10 місяців тому +2

      @@oli_06mtb A foam pit is basically a big pool filled with foam blocks to prevent you from hurting yourself, even when you land on your head. Depending on where you live you could be lucky and have something like this near you. In the UK for example it seems to be petty common, here in germany theres basically only one spot with a foam pit sadly...
