Congrats to David and all his fans from a hardcore Yazdani fan. I have seen and listened to many David's interview and american reporters. It seems that none of you understand Yazdani's role in iranian sports. You think that we iranians see him only as a great wrestler as he is and more focus on his medals or battles with David.
You must understand iranian's perspective to the wrestling as a sport and Yazdani's personality which fits in every aspect in that matter to understand him and his huge popularity. There is a no way for me to be able to translate the word "Pahlevan" in persian to english. In my and many iranian's eyes Hasan Yazdani is a TRUE Pahlevan no matter if he wins or lose. His humble personality combined with the way he wretles makes him a legend in our eyes. He is more loved and popular than ever in spite of this loss. Have you ever understood why iranians love Jordan Burroughs and see him as a Pahlevan as well? I encourage you to interview Yazdani to understand more about him and iranian wrestling culture.
Look forward to see more battles between David and Hassan and almost sure that you will see more exiting games ahead between those two. Paris will be the ultimate ground...

I remember Dave wanting to be an Olympic champion with Cael as his role model back in middle school. He lives wrestling and dedicated his life to it and being a great husband and dad. Everyone sees the wins, nobody sees the hours on the bike, sauna sessions, and skipping pints of ice cream. I knew he was going to win Olympic Gold when he didn't get turned by Palmer during the Graham v St Ed's dual... talk about fighting a front headlock, his hand touched his other shoulder. Haha. Awesome seeing him win. It's not the winning but the hurdles he overcame to win. Big Dave and his mom have supported him all the way. Congrats to him and the Taylor family.

Dear David, I love your style in wrestling and wish you more success.
To compare you with yazdani, there is world difference, As you can see, most of Iranian wrestlers including Yazdani have bandage on their knees, that is because Iran Regime do not care and do not spend money on them, you and all wrestlers in US have a lot medical protection, life protection, no worry about your family . In Iran, wrestlers must work and provide money for their family, some of them are even taxi drivers, working 8 hours sometimes 10 hours, then come and practice with stress and tired body ,
now Covid is killing whole bunch of their fellow citizen and their relatives and some of their close families. Too much stress and too much financial problems and practices only two months or less just before competitions, is the difference between yourself and Iranian wrestlers.
For many years yazdani has knee problems, and other wrestlers, but no real treatment to get rid of these problems.
Two knee protects for exercise in US is only few dollar, but no young wrestlers or kids even have it, that is why after some years in wrestling they all have knee problems, this is still problem and can be controlled with little money, but Iran Regime can never take care of this simple problem.
After spending so much money for their terrorist activities no money left for people, specially Iran Wrestlers.

I would like to take this opportunity to humbly let everybody in this comment section know that I am 1-0 on life takedowns against David Taylor. Sure, he was 9 or 10, and I was a year older than him and a weight class above him, and it was just a friendly bout at state and not a real match. *cough* but I'm still 1-0

It’s simple yazdani is 26 he started wrestling at 14 Taylor is 30 years old and started at 5 years old. Yazdani got unlucky and he will come
Back in his ultimate prime and get gold ! Congrats to Taylor ! Huge accomplishment!

It’s actually even more simple than that.
Yazdani scored 3 points, and Taylor scored 4. Taylor won. Simple as it gets.

Iran should send there wrestlers to the Sumo tournaments. All they try to do is push people out of bounds. It's boring as hell to watch, Taylor is fun to watch because he is a takedown machine . DT said it Yaz just basically tried to win a match by doing nothing.😴😴
