@@forwardamerica Once I get his Gettysburg service settled, then I'll be looking at his Antietam/Sharpsburg movements 😀 By the way, my Gt Gt Grandfather's brother served with him in the 62nd as was pretty common back then. The family has no information of what became of him.

Good job at making an effort at explaining the whirlwind of death at the Wheatfield. Just one correction on your description. You said 3rd SC Battery, the addreviation of Batt. actually is a Battalion. So there was both the 3rd SC Infantry Regiment and 3rd SC Infantry Battalion in Kershaw brigade.
