Could someone explain to me why he isn't missing out on local gold when the minions finish a tower but he is more than 1200 units away? I'm not sure how much local gold is suppose to be for which tower because for some reason they aren't the same value anymore...
u can break towers with minions if u have hit the tower recently (like 9 seconds or something near that). its tier 3 is 250 local for breaking, 50 gold global to your team mates, tier 2 give 425 if youre ahead, and 625 with bounties. the global also depends if theres a bounty or not, 25 without it, and 100-200 with it (cant remember lol). getting a tier two on side lanes is super important for getting gold advantage. mid tier 1 is important to open the map and allow swaps.
the range only matters when u havent hit the turret yet, you can back while turret is breaking and get the gold in the fountain. its good to do this for better tempo.

proto isn't competitive with max damage items, it's there for utility. Adcs never really index into an item that noticably lacks damage, so for that role, gale couldn't be balanced.
Because ADCs are specifically designed to be run down if they don’t have peel. It’s especially bad if they *do* have peel *and* another escape, though. It’s triply bad in coordinated pro play. You’re never getting on to an ADC in that world.
@@OneEyedManKingdomOfTheBlind I mean, I'd argue that most of the mages that build protobelt weren't designed with an extra ground-targeted dash that scales off of their AP in mind either.
@@gallae it doesn’t break the game for them to have it like it does the ADCs, and they can trade off damage for utility, unlike ADCs who *must* have damage on every item. That’s what they meant by “not balance-able”: either Galeforce has damage inline with other AD items, and it’s bonkers broken, or it doesn’t, and nobody would _ever_ buy it. Mages can, and frequently do, purchase utility and defensive items, and still remain effective, so designing in a trade off actually works there.
