I love the Japanese C62 Steam Locomotives alongside the D51s, they're my favourite Japanese steam locomotives in the world.
Both C62s and D51s are my favourite steam engines too. They are gorgeous.
Fantastic work! I am quite fond of these big 4-6-4s, although the C11s won my heart with their big deflectors.

The whistles on these locomotives remind me of my favorite American whistles. But these have a frantic shriek to them. It sounds amazing. I'd go to Japan just to hear it

jnr 5 chimes sound a lot like cb&q 5 chime which those belonged to Chicago Burlington and Quincy 4-8-4s called 05A/B’s
If you listen to recordings of both you’ll hear a similar sound in both

Steam locomotives aren't gone yet,they are used for touring and sometimes putting GE 999 plates of the C 62's most frequently it has been used on a C 11
C56-44 had the GE 999 symbol once

Some time when I sea the c62 I say look it's Galaxy express 999 because in that show the locomotive that pulls the 999 is C62 48 or C62 50 and I don't think there was a C62 number 50

nice usage of "A Man and a Train" which is one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite movies, "Emperor of the North" which, in my opinion, the C62 was the true ruler of the rails in Cape Gauge, American Standard Gauge, however, I'd say the King of the steam engines is the Milwaukee Road Hiawatha class F7 Baltic... Do you think you could do something like this for the F7 Baltic 4-6-4 steam engine? It would mean a lot to me!

I think king of steam locomotive in the world is the Union Pacific's Big Boy or LNER Class A4, but in Japan, C62 is the best in passenger steam locomotive.
@@C62express big boy is the king but is a cousin to the c62 because they are both the largest in their country, both go 80 miles per hour, and we're extremely powerful.
The difference between the two beasts is that big boy hauled freight while c62 was a passenger locomotive. And big boy #4014 burns oil while every c62 burns coal.

If you mount the wheels on axles for standard gauge locomotives and space the cylinders out enough to fit Accordingly to the more spaced out wheels, you could potentially re gauge a Japanese steam locomotive that way. If it’s a diesel locomotive then all you have to do is mount the engine on standard gauge trucks and your done.

@@neilexploreology I think it is for animation purpose. since it is a spacegoing train (with FTL Capability) and with Toei Doga uses pitch black outer space background and not Leiji's favorite deepblue. using gray permits visibility.

Jeju Swag, don't be sad. Even though most C62s were scrapped, some are actually in good working order and are running right now in Japan. I think that there are three C62 locomotives still alive. And one of the C62 locomotives that are alive is the real life 999 (It doesn't fly). Anyway, what I mean is that there are still some C62s alive.
