It's actually a funny thing. He had committed to his apex while he was far off to the left (Super GT was still behind when he began turning) with a slow entry. Super GT coming in quick got there just in time to make it a fair pass.

I just did a few races and it can make for some good racing if you have the right company but it’s a bit annoying if you are faster than someone but because the slipstream is so powerful the just breeze past on the straight and you have to sit behind them until the next straight, it’s more of a defending training class
I think you shouldn't blame Verstappen for bad FIA rules. I agree with you but he is just being smart and making the most out of the rules as they are. Don't blame the player, blame the game
Gran Turismo needs either an adjustable cockpit view, like in the original TDU unlimited or a second cockpit view, similar to FH closer to the windscreen without the steering wheel.. or both. Without this this game is almost unenjoyable for me, this hood view is like sitting on a bloody ladder!! I'm very surprised that no1 has ever raised this issue..

You see, I think Polypony Digital Shold bring back actual One Make races, and some events that would force the player to actually have different cars each session, seems like every time we end up with the same car no matter the race we are in.

Sure it's not the usual line, I'm sure he wouldn't have expected it, but if he was more spatially aware and race context aware, he would have felt the sense of urgency and pre-empted that move and would have adapted his line to get the switch back and get you on the straight, there's an art to it. People who don't agree with this will always lose because dive bombs are just part of racing. The F1 driver to get this will beat Verstappen who notoriously takes advantage of this.
I'm a huge historical fan of GT but not really interested in online lobbies; is it worth buying if you only want to play solo? Certainly not going to play full price but might indulge if it ever comes on sale.

For the purposes of a video game. I like this. I mean if you got out more than a second you weren't getting caught without people working together to catch you. And that was with a rather long straight. Other than that it allows for close racing.

The whole getting to the apex first is THE most stupid rule the fia ever came up with.
It was good when drivers actually knew how to leave space and race each other, now they just ignore it and hope that either one is penalised.
It just bans overtaking around the outside since the other driver no longer has to leave room.
It's always bothered me that they just change the laws of physics from one event to the next

I don't think you get a choice to switch the lights on or off. I think it's only indicators that can be controlled

At the very highest level, I'd say yes. There are plenty of very quick coontroller players though so for the most part, it isn't absolutely essential
