      But will be worth the wait

      But ones in shops are normally not nice

    This is my my second years with asparagus and they are very good. I ate mine like you are eating yours. Fresh is always best. And growing our own is even better.

      @@AAHomeGardening no mine are in a big tote. I have a majority of my plants and trees in containers. I am handicap so I grow in containers.

      They have shallow roots, definitely don't need as much space as people makes out as all

    Asparagus is the tastiest of all vegetables, I’m definitely going to have a go in pots after watching this. PS: your accent is superb, you should do ebooks or voice overs.

      Abby's Life on the Farm, no, this is second year, hence why not plenty to harvest.
      The third year will have much more
      The video I linked above in this video show them going to fern last year

      @@AAHomeGardening how we do it is the first year we don’t pick any ,2nd year pick lightly, third year pick it all. do you let them fern every year at the end of the season??

      Second, it's only a small amount to cut anyhow
      This is my first true second year of the cuttings, so will see later what happens
      But as far as I am know, I do not think it has to go to fern in the second year
