Seed Addictz, you're welcome
Yes, please grow more, so much more tender and nice, when freshly grown and picked and used straight away
@@AAHomeGardening I'm growing from seed so mine may take longer til harvest time.
@@seedaddictz6938 yes, it will take longer to harvest your shoots from seed
But will be worth the wait
Love asparagus...bare root crowns are a great option for gardeners like mevwith no patience!!
West London Gardener, yes, crown, is definitely less wait for these beauties

Kurdapya Maldita, yes, when fresh, very nice
But ones in shops are normally not nice
This is my my second years with asparagus and they are very good. I ate mine like you are eating yours. Fresh is always best. And growing our own is even better.
Janet Powell, yes, they are super nice and tender, when freshly harvest indeed
Are yours in the ground?
@@AAHomeGardening no mine are in a big tote. I have a majority of my plants and trees in containers. I am handicap so I grow in containers.

Asparagus is the tastiest of all vegetables, I’m definitely going to have a go in pots after watching this. PS: your accent is superb, you should do ebooks or voice overs.

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving such a lovely comment
Much appreciated
Yes, asparagus are super nice, but not the ones in the shops, as they are old and tastes horrible
I grow them in containers as well. 🌱🌱🌱They are so delicious when you harvest them and eat them fresh. 🤗
Auf Tour im Garten//Garden Tour, lovely
They are so delicious indeed, unlike store brought
Have you harvest any for the season yet?
It’s so hard to find the perfect asparagus. I can only imagine how good homegrown is...
She Talks With Trees, very hard indeed, the ones in shops are normally very old and stringy, not nice at all
Pay Attention people !
Young Jack, exactly mi nephew, not hard all
You like asparagus?
Has it been 3 years? when we plant it in the garden we wait to pick heavy
Abby's Life on the Farm, no, this is second year, hence why not plenty to harvest.
The third year will have much more
The video I linked above in this video show them going to fern last year
@@AAHomeGardening how we do it is the first year we don’t pick any ,2nd year pick lightly, third year pick it all. do you let them fern every year at the end of the season??
@@BountifulHarvestAbby yes, first year, no picking/cutting
Second, it's only a small amount to cut anyhow
This is my first true second year of the cuttings, so will see later what happens
But as far as I am know, I do not think it has to go to fern in the second year
Send me some
Chef Andre Davy, come for it
It's nice grill as well 😋
lovely asparagus
Up timism1, they are lovely indeed
