This is the first song I ever heard from Sam Kim, I didn't even know he was on KPOPSTAR, I was just browsing on UA-cam and came across this talented man called Sam Kim. I'm so in love. Not only on this video, but I keep seeing comments of fans saying that Sam is "SO underrated" and I know this was written with good intentions and this is just my opinion as a Korean living in Korea right now, but it always irks me to see comments about how so-and-so artist is so underrated...............compared to top/popular kpop idols with companies who release videos, teasers, music videos, reality shows, variety shows, and just about everything and anything else to put their idols into the public eye, compared to them Sam may seem underrated, but although Sam Kim does not have a HUGE fanbase, but he does have quite a solid international/Korean following and has gained a lot of popularity and recognition for working with several artists within the past few years. He wrote IU's "Ending Scene" and that ranked quite well on charts and since he was the one who produced it, he obviously earned quite a bit of money from that which is something anyone should be proud about because writing/creating songs is not an easy thing to do. He worked with Loco and came out with a song called "Thinkin Bout You" which ranked within the top 100 and ranking within the top 100 is a very difficult thing to do and should be admired and praised ...there are so many artists and idols that don't rank within the top 100. Sam also sang the OST for Goblin, which also did quite well on charts for a while and he received a lot of love for that too. He doesn't get as much PR and promotions like a typical Kpop idol, but thats because he is not a Kpop idol. At Antenna, he may not get all of the fancy promotions that Kpop idols get, but in exchange he is given full musical freedom to do the music he wants to do. He may not be the most popular (which he really does deserve to be), but he is definitely not underrated or unpopular. Everyone grows at different paces and he is growing at his and everyone has a time where they peak and he will eventually get to that place as well. He isn't in the public eye as much as other artists his age, but thats because he wants to focus on music and he wants people to know him for his music.
