Funny thing: I was born in 2002 so this song should have no nostalgic value to me, but it does, because bionicle is still a part of my childhood, my first lego set was a bionicle set.
This song literally just popped into my head today & brought back so many many memories of Bionicle! Caught in a Dream, Crashed, Hero, Gravity Hurts, and most of Cryoshell was so damn good; it was ear candy! May Bionicle live on in us through our Unity, Duty, and Destiny🤘
My first set was Voporak. It was Christmas of 2005, and I guess my grandma had seen the Visorak in a store and thought me and my brother would like them. On Christmas morning, we had discovered this new world to explore... and we've loved Bionicle ever since.
Bionicle shaped me into who I am today. It shaped my character, but also my taste in music. Literally all of Bionicle's songs were bops. I still remember playing on my porch with my Toa Inika while it was raining outside, listening to Move Along by All American Rejects (reenacting their trailer), back in 2006. Skip a decade or so, when Subnautica came out. I played it and remembered the Baraki trailer, so I had to play Creeping In My Soul on loop while playing the game, very fitting honestly, especially when I was fighting off against the leviathans and some other creepy aliens. And here I am now, after listening to a song on Spotify that had a similar guitar riff as this one. Pretty bummed I can't listen to this on Spotify, but oh well... Rip Bionicle, you will be missed dearly, but never forgotten!
I am a gen-z, but i have millennial brothers. Bionicle holds a very special place in my heart… as does this incredible music. unity… duty… destiny forever 😭😭
Anyone else here really hope that they make another bionicle movie.... with the best CGI and visual effects available, get some really good voice actors, a new antagonist and protagonist..... a movie that people cannot miss, and JumpStart a new series of bionicle movies with a bang!
TalkyWings i wish someone would make a more mature bionicle movie (not officially made by lego). kinda like the transformers movies. that would finally kill the illusion of bionicle being childish ;)
Good point. His noblest of sacrifices must never be forgotten. (Let’s also not forget that Jaller was ready to go nova and essentially turn himself into a nuke to buy Matoro time to do his thing. These guys were all fantastic, and frankly few characters of most of today’s franchises can really compare. Super well-written and iconic characters spawned from a toy line. Yeah, that’s definitely a novelty. Transformers is pretty much the only other thing I can think of that managed to do that, and that started in the eighties.)
After so many years looking for my favourite bionicle soundtracks I've forgot the name of, one day they just popped up in my recommended. It feels great to be able to listen to these gems once more... I miss bionicles.
