I haven't checked, but I'd like to see a tutorial about different nail polishes. What to use for base, then next layers, then gel, then top layer. Do all polishes have to be gel or just the last coat? How long to let polish dry before putting on the next coat or color? So that's what I'd like to see. I'm such a beginner that I've just started buying the basics. I don't even know what type of nail dryer to get. how many watts, etc. Thanks for this video. What do you use to pick up the gem things? How long do you let the glue dry? What grit are the nail files?
Im not her but I do make my own press ons, you can do regular polish under gel I do that for mine because I don’t have any gel colors so I always top coat with gel, for dry times I wait 5-10 minutes per hand in cosmetology we would usually just use how long it took to finish the next hand as the wait time but if you use too thick a layer it can take longer I wait till I don’t leave fingerprint dents and for gel cure it double better to over cure than undercure also make sure you know what type of lamp you have, in the video it looks like she’s using a wax pen to pick them up that’s usually what most people use, a lot of stone glues you actually need to lamp cure and they usually come with their own instructions on the packaging or bottle/tub but if you mean the nail glue to stick on your nails 15-30 seconds per nail and then keep out of water for a minimum of 5 hours to ensure you don’t cause any premature lifting, and I find most people use a 110 or 180 grit file.
DND gel is great to use. They have an amazing base coat too

(Small little tip I got... My tips keep falling off of my stands. I use the exact square cut-out that is on the sheet of tack...i saw how you use a lot more than I do & you had not one issue of the nails tipping or falling.

Been trying to figure out how to store and organize all of mine, your binder with the card holder sheets is freaking perfect! You can see everything you have and be able to chose which to use. Thats my biggest problem now is I have so many and they are all in storage containers and I literally have to go through them all to be able to find what I want to use which is such a hassle and time waster.
For your foils that come in the little plastic boxes do you take those out and put in your binder also? Or leave those and just put ones that come in packaging?

these came out bombb!! im actually gonna start doing my own press ons and i want to begin by using regular nail polishes instead of the gel ones that go in the lamp (if i end up liking to do this then ill invest in the gel polishes and lamp) but anyway i was wondering if you recommend any regular polish brands and top coars that I can use instead of gel?
I actually really love the DND ones ! And they come with both a gel and a regular polish I believe its only $5 for each pack of both and theres a ton of colors to choose from! So that way you will have the gels but if you don’t decide to use them for press ons , you can easily save them and use the gels for your own nails and the regular polish for your toes ❤️🥰 another brand that I absolutely love is IGEL beauty and I think their site is 60% off right now and each combo of gel + regular polish is only like $3!! Ive ordered from them twice and I highly recommend you check them out first because of the sale its worth the price it isnt cheap product at all and I always get my stuff within a week every time as well ❤️ hope it helps!

Ive done a few sets and im just going to give up😩....every time I cure it,,, it still stays tacky even with the no wipe top coat....also it wrinkles as well and I dont put a lot of gel polish on the nails...what am I doing wrong? Could it be the uv lamp? I have the Jewhitney lamp I got off from Amazon😩😔😔😔
The reason why it stays tacky is because gel polishes have a sticky layer that needs to be wiped off with alcohol after its cured. The best lamps are also at least 45 W or higher the higher the wattage the better the lamp will be . This could also be the issue with your gel polish wrinkling and also make sure to not over buff because this could cause wrinkling as well lmk if it helps !
It looks like your lamp is a pretty high wattage so maybe try out some of these other techniques and also I recommend Igel beauty no wipe top coat its the best.
Yea the lamp is 54 wattage ...but I will keep trying...I just ordered the melodysusie one to see if it cures better. I will try not to over buff and will order the the Igel....thank you soooo much for taking the time to respond I really appreciate it. I do makeup professionally and I wanted to start doing press ons but feeling a bit discouraged..hopefully I can get better at it lol..💜😊
