Batu Zamrud (Emerald) biasanya melalui proses clarity enhancement iaitu proses oiling kerana zamrud ada banyak serat - serat insclusion dan rekahan inclusion dan retakan-retakannya. Dan bagi menutupinya, proses oiling di lakukan untuk meningkatkan penampilan batu agar terlihat lebih menarik. Aquamarine, Claritynya lebih jernih dari emerald dan tak ada banyak retakan dan inclusion. Sebab itu tak perlu clarity enhancement dengan oil. Tetapi ada aquamarine melalui proses low heat treament 400 - 450° celcius untuk meningkatkan penampilannya bluish green to blue Heliador Untuk meningkatkan penampilan heliador low Heat treatment di buat kerana mineral heliador mengandungi iron, proses heat treatment boleh improve color yellow heliador. Dan cara untuk menilai quality permata semuanya sama, iaitu melaluai 4c klarifikasi.

Contoh, kita beli rough 20 carat, bila cutting mungkin tinggal 6 ke 8 carat. So dia prefer jual rough lagi untung. Yang kedua, penjual rough emerald lebih mengetahui quality rough itu setelah di cutting. Jika rough itu top quality, dia tidak akan jual dalam bentuk rough. Sebabnya yang top quality dia akan jual lebih tinggi harganya. Yang ketiga, kebanyakkan rough panjshir emerald tak cukup carat untuk di cutting. Yang keempat, seller dah tahu rough emerald yang dijualnya ada banyak inclussion. untuk mengelakkan risiko pecah semasa proses cutting. Mereka akan jual dalam bentuk rough. Yang kelima, kebanyakkan orang yang kurang pengetahuan tentang rough, tapi membeli secara gamble, untung sabut timbul, untung batu tenggelam. Kebanyakkannya rugi. Kesimpulannya, jika kita kurang pengetahuan tentang bahan baku ( rough ) emerald, tak perlulah kita ambil risiko untuk membelinya. Lebih baik beli yang sudah siap di cutting. Dear Mr. Richie, yes you absolutely right. In this video, i'm telling about treatment in emerald. There's 80 to 90% emerald in our market have been treated. Off course non treated emerald is the most valuable emerald. Everybody knows that. But in this video i was explaining about treatment in emerald and how to understand the emerald treatment terms in certificate. Not for teach to treat our emerald. For example, one of the biggest emerald trade in India is at Jaipur. In there, you'll see it's common for them to treat the emerald for increasing the clarity enhancement especially for the low quality one. And the worst quality emerald stone like not enough colour or too much inclussion will be treated with joban oil to increase the greenish colour and to hide the inclusion in the emerald. Maybe mat salleh got their own calculation about birthstone. Hindu also got their own calculation. One of the hindu birthstone that i know is Navaratna. Which calculated based on placing of the planet. Different dob different arrangement of the stone. Or the other name of it is 9 stone. Correct me if i'm wrong.
