Those are one of the mest stunning pixelated visuals I have ever seen.

By now most of us realized that the overworlds are named after the layers of our atmosphere. Go ahead and read into just how far out into space our atmosphere actually goes, just for maximum effect when you arrive at the final world.

The parallax in this is done absolutely flawlessly. It looks like it was rendered in full 3D, especially at 0:51.

Jo-Remi Madsen Amazing news, thanks. I am a digital artist myself, just starting to explore the pixel art world. Productions like these are a huge bucket of inspiration for my studies. Do you plan to upload more videos/speed paintings about the game?
Our artist definetly wants to! I think he'll do some once his spoiler heavy work is done. Right now we're fixing the final parts of the game.

Well spotted. This is due to me flipping some of the sprites in the wrong direction. Knowning our artist, he's probably already noted down things to think about for visual perfection :-) Since the release of this video, we got a whole new wind-system in aswell.

Art Style almost reminds me of a cross between ocarina of time and wind waker, breeds a great atmosphere

Pixel art reminds me of Metal Slug. The general style, theme and animation remind me of Rayman. Very nice stuff!

In some ways, it makes me think of Jamestown... I love this pixelated games!
with 3x3 real pixels per big pixel, the edges would be blurry but the center still solid. Also the blurriness is no problem in motion, & it's motion that it's about with those backgrounds.
Besides the blurriness is worse in that video capture & it's still great.
Newer tech isn't necessarily out of place with old tech - you have to agree the music fits pretty well, while it's not chip music.

This is the definition of a retro game. Why people make those 8 bit games and slap on the word "retro" is beyond me.
You guys should release it to the Vita also! That thing is made for these kind of games, like retro city rampage, that I only enjoyed on the Vite for some reason. And many other indie developers are doing so, seems like sony is really pleasing them :P

Is subpixel scrolling possible with pixel-precise artwork at all? I thought it makes things with limited palettes blurry.
Anyway, it would look slightly out-of-place, I think. Just like playing FF8 in FullHD and noticing that horrible difference between 3D characters and blurry 2D backgrounds (which is barely noticeable at native PS resolution).
How much is this for pc? Should port this to PSN, Nintendo and XBLA
