I started adding "the swipe" years ago because I wanted to "break up" the dots and add some thicker definition and color. People in the art community who use brushes educated me that they are call "comma strokes" Which is awesome!! I love learning new things. Now I see they are being called everything from swoops to swooshes to dot drag outs. It is great!
So.....whatever you call them, there are many ways to create them.
Here I will show you 3 tools you can use to add them to your design.

I purchased several packages of these little sea turtles at Dollar Tree and have been wondering how I could decorate them. I like how the swipes fill in the shell pieces, they look natural and don't overwhelm the space. Glad to have you back!!!
Glad I could help! I stole the swipes from a turle piece my hubby and I worked on years ago. We still have it on display in our home :)
