In this video we go over the UA Lockdown 6 - an amazing new budget shoe from Under Armour.
Despite the lack of technology in the midsole, the cushioning and comfort level are very good for its price, good transition and nice court feel. Traction works very well indoors, and dust pick up is not an issue. The Lockdown 6 fits true to size, and is a wide foot friendly shoe with decent room in the midfoot and toe box. Stability and torsional support are decent as well. For $70 USD, this is a fantastic budget shoe to hoop in based on my experience.

Is the outer sole durable for concrete, outdoor courts? (I am looking for a shoe with sole that does not wear off for at least 3 years of playing for 2-3 days a week)

I’ve had them since November and used them thru December but stopped wearing them because I got a bunch of newer shoes. I’m sure I’ll wear em’ again soon as they are a good hoop shoe 💯. The only things I didn’t like about the shoe is that they are not the best for a narrow footer like myself. I have the laces torqued down and the mesh window is all scrunched/warped because of this. Just an cosmetic/aesthetic blemish. Also I have the mod grey/royal/antifreeze colorway (lavender cw wasn’t out yet). The grey pigmentation of the pair is off. One shoe is slightly a different shade of grey but it’s just slightly off. Didn’t bother me too much because I was hooping n didn’t notice until I had to clean the outsoles.
Nice assessment 👍 I do agree with them being not as good for people with narrow feet, but on the bright side it’s very wide foot friendly which is kinda rare among budget shoes these days 😃 Quality control wise, my pair is totally fine. I mean for its price I have to say I’m very impressed!

Been playing with the UA Lockdown 6 in Black/ White Colorway. It's the best for me who has wide feet, has great cushion and traction for me and I use it a lot. Planning to buy the Purple/ Orange Colorway but its not available on my area :( btw, Thanks Tommy for the review it helped me a lot.

Thank you!! Honestly these along with the Air Max Impact 4 are among the highest tier of budget shoes out there to me. If I have to take only one I would even pick these.

Which is better UA lockdown 6 or Peak Lou Williams Underground, in my country, the price defference between two only 10 USD-15 USD (UA lockdown 6 price is 55 USD and Peak LW Underground arround 67 USD). Which is better cushioning between two?

Hey, it gets a tiny bit better over time but mostly stays as it is from my experience. You could also try the new Lockdown 7, that has a slightly improved grip with some herringbone added to the outsole.

Are they good for outdoor? What about outsole and upper durability?
I’ve never used them outdoors, so can only give speculations. The outsole should be very durable, but the leather upper isn’t ideal against muds or wet outdoor surfaces. It may start to wrinkle and can get dirty pretty easily I think.

Good day Sir. I tried the UA Lockdown 6 on indoor courts. The traction is exceptional. As someone with wide feet, my usual size is 8 US, which I bought following your suggestion that it's true to size. However, I encountered a slight issue of heel slippage and some extra space while playing. What suggestions do you have for addressing this? I'm looking forward to your advice. Thank you
Hello. Nice 👍 Umm the only solution I can think of, to having some extra space is just double sock it or wear thicker socks I guess.

impact 4 is not wide-foot friendly. but it does have slightly better cushion and impact protection, so if you insist on it -> half size up

I agree. If you have other newish Adidas shoes already or something then no need for $95 spent on the Certified. Just get the Lockdown 6 instead for $70. I didn’t get the Dames because I have a bunch of Son of Chi’s.

Nah it’s good but won’t be as good as the Harden’s.

Bro, Lockdown 6 - how are they with ventilation and ankle support? I have problem ankles - can you recommend them?
Tbh man ventilation isn’t very good given the materials and the leather panels. It’s not terrible but average breathability. Ankle support is decent and overall this is the best budget shoe to me right now under 100 bucks. I just think this shoe has amazing value for its price, so I would recommend these.

🙏🙏 Oh that’s a good one. Both are super good budget shoes with excellent value, I’d probably lean towards the Lockdown 6 for slightly better comfort and the outsole performed a little bit better on dust. But two of my favorite shoes at this price range so no bad pick here really 😃

Dame Certified for medium/narrow feet, Lockdown 6 for wide feet.
Dame’s have better traction, Lockdown 6 is more comfy - whichever is more important to you I guess, but both are great options.
