i am having trouble around the 1:27 mark, when i select empty it copy's the cube many times
Maybe it's too late but try the "all transformations" option, which you will find by selecting the cube and then pressing the Ctrl+A keys.

When I tried to subdivide the dots nothing happened. Still managed to make it look somewhat like yours with the limited amount I had, but why's this?
I dunno, but did you select two dots? Because that will then be the vertex that gats subdivided. And i don't know if you still need the answer. xD

I must be dumb. I can not get this to work in 2.93. Everything is fine until the array part. It will not duplicate when rotated. Anyone have a suggestion?

hey I don't know if am late but u can try this way
1. add a curve circle instead of empty
2. now add a array modifier to cube with 36 count and keep the relative offset checked and put X Factor value = 2
3. than add another modifier called curve to cube and pick the circle as curve object
that all and now u can edit the cube as shown in the video

Hey man, I can't seem to subdivide the points on my screw trail :c have you ever encoutnered somethign like that ?
Not sure, but did you also select two dots (= a vertex to be subdivided)?

Hello! Great tutorial, I am having trouble with the final step on 2.93 I am pretty sure I did everything right but when I change the second curve the first one doesn't change at all
You might be moving it on the wrong axis
I had the same issue, try making sure that the one you changed the depth of is tapered to the one you made most recently instead of the other way round!
