not really. its a comedy, completely ironic and over stereotyping (purposely unrealistic,) and the music is clearly goofy and but still catchy. it’s not a super deep movie, the script is simple, and the set is basic, but none of that is a problem because it isn’t /trying/ to be anything it’s not. it actually has some great messages, and the actors/actresses are good (not to mention attractive) and make for a good movie to just enjoy without thinking about it much.

it is a comedy. It is supposed to be exaggerate and innacurate, because it is making fun of stereotypes, it is kind of a parody, it is not supposed to be taken serious, because if you do, you won't find it funny, I think that is what happened to you
