I would try talking to the patient and let them know that I'm here to help while trying my best to do a primary assessment from a distance. But if they continue to remain hostile towards me, we'll have to back off until PD arrives. I would want to keep an eye on the patient in case their condition is severe enough that they lose consciousness or try to harm themselves or other people. how'd I do?

Capillary refill rate, or ask if there’s any numbness or tingling (can also be from the wound).
