@@lockandloadlikehell will ferrell was playing a more grounded version. Will Forte played a more ridicule version, that imo fit better. Bush Jr was a total clown.
Watching this because the stupid CEOs won't pay writers and we can't have SNL tear through the hellscape that is politics today. OMG the "internets" comments are so much more relevant now. Also MAJOR props to this cast for running a ten minute sketch without staring at the cue cards.
Twenty years down the line it will seem incredible to almost any history student that Bush was elected not once but twice. I hope Fox News doesn't get away with rewriting the history of the Bush presidency. I hope future generations look back at the first decade of the 21st century and learn not to repeat those mistakes.
All presidents have a terrible track record with foreign policy. Truth is, even the popular presidents did awful things, the war in Korea was very similar to the war in Iraq, in fact the entirety of the Cold War started with lies and misleading information from presidents. The involvement of the US in Vietnam came from Britain and France wanting to keep colonial dominance. The world would, most definitely, work better if the US didn’t act like they are the leaders of the world, when they aren’t even the most developed country in the first world. Even Obama had harmful foreign policies.
“That little girl, asking George W Bush a question at the debate.. that little girl was me.” -Kamala Harris
Ryan my stomach hurts from laughing at this. I was thinking about the whole “happy birthday to this future president” thing yesterday.
lol
🤣 then she’d go into a nonsensical word salad about his policies
I have a plan
Ferrell is obviously really good but I really appreciate Forte's Bush as well, it's massively underrated imo
“Get rid of the bad internets, and keep the good internets”
That is funnier in 2021 than in 2004.
Fax. I can’t even tell which groups of people support which internets on any given day.
My goodness, even more relevant today!!! 😪
Forte is very physical and Myers’s hand motions are almost like a rapper. Love it.
Ah, those were the days, where we had debates and actually pretended we had a choice. I remember those good old days, and so does Pepperidge Farms.😅
This is one my favorite presidential debates. Will Forte's portrayal is spot on
He doesn't sound anything like him- will Ferrell wad the one spot on

i love will forte with all of my being
I can't help seeing the guy in the back trying not to laugh at Will Forte's George Bush because it would break their protocol hahaha
Second-best portrayal of George W. Bush by a comedian named Will F.
I hope NBC's health insurance covers Lutz's therapist. That poor bag of volleyballs.
One of the great things about SNL is that it reminds Americans that politicians are such shallow con-artists.
Ha ha love Will Forte’s Bush jr

what’s the yams!?
It's not gon' be moralized.
Bush lol 😂😂😂
I don't know who this bush guy was but he was so funny. He was great.
Need some wood?
It’s too bad Kerry lost that election...having 4 to 8 years of Seth Meyers impersonating him on SNL would have been pure comedic gold!

.....turns out things were going to get even more weird and depressing

The political media complex nuked howard dean's campaign and everyone ate it up
Why does the one guy sound a little like Jim Nantz?
5:56 John Lutz
The fact-checkers can grade each person’s performance- except for mine, and give people and teams cookies, for a job well done.
Why is this supposed to be funny? Bush pretty looks serious as usual here
Abdullah Othman Because Bush is shown and blustering and evasive and therefore sub standard.
Give them access to how much I tell the truth, Abbie.
The fact-checkers can take turns and do running commentary. Jokes can be sent to people. Everybody here has friends among them.
Yikes, this was bad... really stinking bad...
Season 30 wasn't all that great, to be fair.
The only good thing about season 30 was Will Forte, the man is a fucking wild card
Will Forte is hilarious but this sketch suckked azz
It was obvi no Jim Downey product
That guy was an awful Bush. SNL was lost during these years. Ferrell was great as Bush
He doesn't sound anything like him
He was better, he was more funnier
