It's insane to think that it was released during a time when the plot in games (especially action and ESPECIALLY FPS) was treated like it is in porn. It just kinda "had to be there, but was not important at all".
One really big thing I loved, pointed out in the comment of this review you're reacting to, went something like this: "I am Hero." could sound a lot like "I am Yrro."
I honestly gotta look at that website of the guy archiving Marathon lore for 20 years, im really interested what else this wonderful game has going for it.
Thanks so much for reacting. I always enjoy going down these rabbit holes with other people :) However, this story actually continues with Mandy’s recent reviews of the Myth games. But…….I still want to see you react to the rest of his October specials before the next one comes. The next one you gotta check out is Mystery of the Druids.
So Marathon, Halo, Destiny. All main player characters were just one character who is an undead cyborg that has been uplifted to Godhood and now travels through videogames that are actually just timelines to Manipulate, Destroy and Rebuild? Huh, go figure.
@@strawberin0They actually used Marathon for a particular episode. This was many years before this review, though. So unfortunately, even though that episode involved time travel, there was no madness lore.
Infinity took a serious left turn. I was waiting for this video.

Question: Have you ever watched Red vs Blue?
Not really, only ever saw some clips and experienced it through osmosis due to memes lol

destiny 2 story is exactly as strange as this, helo has the most boring story out off all bungo games
In case no one has told you bungie is currently working on a remake of Marathon.
The game is more a side-story than a remake.
