@@christinataylor422 Yes they have what they call the aero-express. The train station named Bella-rusky/Bellaruskya near the city center is where you get on and ride to the airport, and where the Aero express drops you of at when leaving the airport. From there you can take the metro. If I remember right. the train station and aero express are on one side of the street, and the metro is on the other side.
@@leehart1498 I was there in 1980 and 1986. It looks a lot more modern and sophisticated than it was even in the year of the Olympics when some of it looked dilapidated.
If I have a transit on this airport, from Ams to Moscow - Moscow to Bangkok.. Do you have to stand in line for passport control? Because I have only 1 hour and 20 minutes. I am worrying about the time now..
Bryan Tuik yes you have to, since ams and Moscow are 2 different countries. Last year I flew from Amsterdam to Moscow and I had to go to the passport control. Honesty I didn’t even know that I had to I just followed the crowd and there was nowhere else to go but to check our passports
Bryan Tuik yes I had enough time. But it was hard for me to find my gate , cuz that airport is so huge so my advice don’t waste any time shopping or anything else unless you already find your gate. My actually layover was 4,5 hours and by the time I went through everything , I waited to board for only 30 minutes! That was my first time and that’s why maybe it took me longer I’m flying there again in 8 days and hopefully it’ll be faster cuz I have a shorter layover. Hope you make it in time because I know how stressful it can be!!
Thanks so much for posting this video! It's very helpful and informative. I will be at this airport next month and I was hoping to walk between terminals and check out the shops before my flight. So just to make sure, can you please confirm - after passing through passport control and security, it's possible to walk between terminals D and E and visit all the shops with no need to go through security again?
Ну хоть одно нормальное видео про Шереметьево, где все предельно понятно, а то пересадка маленькая хотелось увидеть где, что и сколько надо времени для перехода по терминала.
Hi! Can anyone tell me if you still have to take a taxi or other transport between SVO 1 and 2???? I really did not like that part of traveling through this airport in the past. Please help!! Thank you!
Was there one time last year and its a very strange airport I have to say, I was at the older part where my flight departed, there was hardly space for people, but it was a big plane, so the waiting line was around the corner and there were just a handful of seats, seemed at many gates it was the same, when I got back it took forever to get us through to the connection flights, really really slow, but I departed at the newer part and it was fine there
Looks like a nice airport . Will be transiting there from Dubai to new York. My layover is around 4 hrs . What's the average price of beers inside airport
Wow thanks for the video! This summer when I went to see my family on Mongolia, i did a 19 hours transit in this airport haha Makes me nostalgic because I was just so happy to go there and spent so much time at this place but I was very bored too😅
Ok actually i am travelling soon and i have a layover at moscow airport of about 10 hours ,and i wanted to utilize that time by going to places near airport. Thanks for replying
Hello i am traveling with Aeroflot and i am arriving in terminal E leaving from Terminal F and i have 13 hours layover. And i am not allowed to get out cause i need a visa (i am European citizen) . 1) What can i do to pass the time 2) Is there a place to sleep. Also is it safe?
Hi! Thank you so much for the video! It’s very helpful!!! My husband is American citizen and we are flying from USA to Kazakhstan, we will arrive to terminal D at SVO and have 3hours, then we have to go to terminal F for the next flight. Some websites says he need a transit visa (because Kazakhstan is a part of Customs Union), some says no. But it’s not clear! I’m really worried about it! Please can you tell me what was your flight from and to ? Did you go to passport control? What did they asked and checked ?
My flight was from Berlin to Delhi. One needs to go through passport and security check. They normally dont ask you anything, if your connecting flight is within 8hrs. You dont need a transit Visa as an Indian Passport holder. About Kazakhstan i am not sure.
I'll be flying with Aeroflot , arrive at terminal D and depart from terminal E. Is it true that: 1/ I don't need a transit visa ? 2/ The 2 hours layover is enough to get from D to E ? And is there anything else i need to concern while transiting ? Thanks
Hey tung nguyen 1) You don't need a transit visa 2) Yes, 2hrs are enough to get from Terminal D to E (The video is shot in real time, it took around 5mins from Terminal D to Terminal E) There is nothing special, to be taken care of! Wishing you a happy and safe flight iDreamstreaming
Hi, Mr. Tung Nguyen, did you successfully go from termnal D to terminal E one year ago? I am flying from SGN to another country via Moscow airport by Aeroflot during this Tet holidays. Same as you I will arrive at Terminal D and have to go to Terminal E. Now I am worried about the same thing with you.
I’ll be flying with Aeroflot, arrive at terminal E and depart from terminal D, my layover is 1 hour, is it enough time to change the flight within one hour layover ? Please reply. Great video btw.
First time I landed there, there was one small terminal, one restaurant/bar on bottom floor with almost no seating. Minimal seating, (almost none really), not really heated at all. We ate in the workers cafeteria on the 4th floor. It was still soviet style big time. Dark, dingy, sterile. Now wow! What capitalism does when allowed to flourish.

Hello how long is the pasport control?
We just changed the gates and went through security check.
Passport control comes when we exit the airport, and we remained at the airport.
Kees Henk I think you should be more worried about Makarov
