I've recently started using 460mm rollers for broad areas and it seems to be going well. Obviously a bit heavier, but very fast and even. Goes good on ceilings. Have you considered doing a vid on roller widths (or widths and naps)? Pros/cons, domain of application for each etc..
I use to use the 460 alot on new builds and commercial jobs. Now I do mostly repaints I find the 270 a little bit better for rolling when furnished and around fittings. Every roller size definitely has the right application. Great idea I will do a vid on rollers naps/width. Cheers Legend appreciate the message and watching on 💯🙏
I eyed them off at Haymes today on the way out. They look good. Might finally be a replacement for my trusty Rolon Sleeves! Love your positivity for our trade josh 🙂
Yeah mate I reckon if you are in need of a few replacement Rollers these are definitely a good option. Appreciate the message and the kind words. RESPECT
Gave these ago in the 11mil, didn't push it for coverage, but would have covered half the amount you pushed it too with the 15. The main thing I liked is how well it kept up it's coverage rate for the complete job (roughly 200 sq/m). Easy flow off and very smooth finish and didn't really need any laying off. Cheers for the Vid
I've been taught a few ways to roll out a wall. I see guys put it on and then go back to the original starting point and do a final down pass more often over here. What's your input on the style you use vs the one I described? I've tried both and honestly can't see much of a difference between the two as long as the paint lays consistantly and isn't showing roller marks.
Yeah I think it always comes down to the individual I spose there is know wrong or write way to put it on and lay it off as long as you are achieving the same seamless smooth finish that's what really matters. I do it differently sometimes what ever happens on the day🤣 I usually load it up do a big M than work my way out from my previous section I had layed off then work back in to that section then repeat the process if that makes sense. I will do a video on this also in the future. Cheers for watching on and the comment 💯🙏
@yourlastday2866 I'm booked out six months in advance, and my phone never stops. It's about my workmanship, not my looks. I'm honest, respectful & produce high-quality work. Time has changed 💯
@@paintingbyjosh glad to hear mayne, sorry if i sounded like a dick lol, worked for people whom actually judged people for that, since u know, painter's arn't known to be the most educated people.
I use the new Iquip turbo rollers and they are very good, a touch better than the Oldfields pro, BUT, nothing beats the Euro Mario roller...prove me wrong.
