A call to prosecute Emalahleni municipal officials

Civic organisations at the troubled Emalahleni Local Municipality in the Eastern Cape are calling for the prosecution of municipal officials implicated in a damning forensic report. The report was instituted by the provincial COGTA department to investigate corruption and maladministration in the Lady Frere municipality. Four municipal officials have been identified as misusing funds to the tune of two million rand.
