Not having a player aid in modern board games is unforgivable. It adds virtually no cost since they are already printing cards for other uses and it's just such a basic addition that I can't imagine how any game even gets through playtesting without that being brought up.
I thought the same. With the microphone in front of everyone it looks like they get interviewed about the game. I get that the sound quality is better like that but it looks unnatural and too professional for my taste.
The T games are Tascini designs that use dice. They are not Board and dice's. Tascini's new game for 2024 starts with a T, uses dice, and is not published by Board and Dice.
Looking forward to my preordered copy. I like the fact that its not terribly complex and the teach is easier. If I do end up liking this, which other board and dice game do you recommend picking up (Tiletum ? )? Also, how does this rank to other Dani Garcia games ( Arborea and Barcelona)? I had teotihuacan in my collection, but the set up and teach discouraged me from tabling it
Rodney Smith mentioned having a player aid in his how to play video, during the game setup. I don't own the game, but in the rulebook pdf, there are 4 player aids listrd, so what's that all about?
I greatly concur. Especially if there is a euro being discussed: I want Wendy's opinion, thoughts and score on it. I'm very sad when I don't know her opinion. I love all the DT voices but I really love what they both bring to euro discussions.
Good review and discussion of the gameplay. I find your insights invaluable, so thanks!

I don't own the game, but I just checked the rulebook, and it clearly shows 4 player aids and a solo player aid.
Really do miss the casual sitting around the sofa for the review. Just seemed more natural maybe
Agree. DT always somehow felt like you were with the crew in the room. Very cozy and social. Now it looks like they are recording podcast

Agree this new look is dreadful.

I thought they were a Tascini thing! I was so confused. I didn't realise about the dice thing though, good to know.

Barcelona is my favorite of Danny Garcia :) It's also a good board and dice game, though it's a bit heavier.
missed an opportunity with Tulip Valley, to keep the T names going
Twindmill Valley?

There's a player aide for the actions, the symbols for the cards are only in the rulebook. You end up passing the rulebook around a lot.
@@thedicetower OK, I get it.
I’m looking forward to this game.
Interesting game, awesome haircut Chris!
Can't read the video title without getting "Insideous" lipstick demon flashbacks
More Wendy in videos!

I find this one mid weight pending to the lighter side. Definitely nothing near the heavy side.
A solid game that will forgotten in a year or two
Pretty much the fate of every solid board game now, there are just too many good ones coming out.
Does every game need to change the world?
Cogs - meh
"They don't meet up" - wtf cool
I hope to see the action wheels in less complex games.
Seems interesting. But also like a one and done.
But still in a saturated market. It doesn’t seem to stand out much.
