The most interesting part of this case is the dichotomy of a woman abusing the system to gain leverage over her victim and a woman determined to fight for truth and justice. She's such a solid role model.
Ms Vasquez is just a lawyer defending her client. This is what she has been paid to do, whether Depp is telling the truth or not. Elaine Bredehoft is one of the most respected lawyers in America (she has a huge list of accolades on her website), and I don't see any hysterical young girls hugging her outside her car or snapping pictures. It would be silly and unprofessional. This is a serious trial with serious allegations (rape with a glass bottle!!) for which people have been sent to prison. A little sobriety is necessary.

She's a perfectly competent lawyer, but you have a totally delusional view on this, she isn't 'determined to fight for truth and justice' because of this case, she was hired with the team. That's like saying Heard's team is determined to fight AGAINST truth and justice. Also, it's a common move for a legal team, when arguing against a woman, to have a female lawyer handle the aggressive role. A male lawyer going hard after a woman on the stand can come off bad, especially if Heard breaks down crying and tries to frame it like another man is attacking her. A woman being aggressive will typically cause the woman on the stand become frustrated, which we saw. She's a lawyer. This is court. This isn't a political debate or something.

JD couldn't have asked for a better legal team and they definitely are worth every cent. A bunch of women out there are gonna aspire to become attorneys because of Camille Vasquez. Her performance in the courtroom, her demeanor, the way she carries herself, I was blown away. She started off a little nervous, not sure if this is the most high profile case she's ever done, but within 10 minutes or so, she hit her stride and found rhythm. Blew me away. I went into this trial wanting to give Amber the benefit of the doubt, but the evidence presented plus this cross examination really sealed it in my eyes, Johnny deserves some justice and his reputation back, absolutely.
Yep, this lady is a role model for feminism. Not a false accuser like Heard making a mockery of female victims of abuse everywhere. It blows my mind that there are so many narrow-minded people who think they're helping women by blindly supporting Heard.

It's great to see Camille righting the wrongs done to all men by abusive women, and at the same time, making sure the world knows not all women are like Amber. That's a huge accomplishment. She's absolutely done her job. Next week, after the trial is over, we'll see how the jury handles it.

@@jdavis8970 Yes, Crazy Cat Lady lawyer is doing sooo much better, it's not like she just played depositions that clearly show that AH is not telling the truth into the Defense's case-in-chief(I think this would be correct as the defense has a burden of proof to the truthfulness of AH's statements), like for example including a deposition of a lawyer saying he brought binders and binders of Perjury evidence against AH and her moocher druggie friends to the police who was investigating it. (BTW no one ever gets charged with perjury except by the FBI, or when the perjury is obvious there's no way to ignore it)

Camille gave it her all. Her ALL. She was personally invested in exposing the truth in this case. The team worked like a well oiled machine, singularly focused and phenomenally prepared. I'm a Black female psychotherapist in my 60s. Camille made me hopeful that justice is still being pursued these days. What an amazing group of professionals. Thanks Camille for bringing your whole self to this case. If anyone wonders how to defeat a Narcissist with Borderline Personality and Histrionic tendencies, watch this cross examination . Brilliant.
That’s exactly how I talk to my Borderline Narcissist ex husband. It’s the only effective way to cut the bull💩.
Camille knows Heard is lying. Not just suspects, but knows. How does she know if she wasn't there? Because of the way they're going after Depp. From the substanceless witnesses that witnessed nothing, to the tricks her lawyers are playing in this trial. And I'll give an example of a big one. When taking Johnny's deposition before trial, Amber's lawyers asked him "Would you give (forget the persons name) a pill", speaking about one of his friends, and he said "I would". The question wasn't posed as a "Did you give X a pill", it was basically "Would you if they asked for one". Then in court they asked him if he did give that person pills or do pills with that person, and Johnny said no. Then they used that deposition transcript to call him a liar, when the questions had two completely different contexts.
The point is, Camille sat there and watched how Amber's lawyers behaved for an entire week before she cross examined Amber. If she had any doubts as to Depp's innocence before that, they were alleviated by Amber's own lawyers behavior. From silly terms like "Megapint" to describe a glass of wine, to baseless objections to twisted fake gotcha questions, it would have become clear to her that Amber has no case and no defense, otherwise her lawyers wouldn't be sinking this low.
Depp may have a drug problem, he may slam cabinets, he might show up late to set, but those don't equal physical abuse. And he did a lot of those things specifically because Amber was feeding him drugs and playing head games with him. Honestly, I think she was trying to kill Depp to get his money and everything else for herself, by putting extra doses of drugs in his food and stuff. I think she was really recording him high so that when she finally overdosed him, she'd have the recordings to say he had a drug problem. But then the "metoo" stuff came along, and she saw something she could elevate herself on, and then switched gears to try to make herself one of the faces of metoo. Much more reward than her original plan, with far less risk than committing murder.

She is a great attorney. She interrogated Amber with so much professionalism and was gentle, yet firm with her.
What I've noticed is that, whenever Amber starts whipping up another word salad, Camille starts repeating her name gently but firmly: "Miss Heard... Miss Heard... Miss Heard," and that shuts Amber up and reorients her to Camille. Usually it takes three repetitions, sometimes four, but I think that, on some level at least, Camille knows that if anything can get Amber's attention, it's the sound of her name being said "respectfully" by someone. A very neat technique.
She scolded her and argued with her and I didn’t think it was appropriate. All you have to do is get the person to admit to the things you need to argue in closing. Highest skill is for them not to even realize it. No need to get out docs to prove to them they’re inconsistent with other witnesses. But Amber’s never been held accountable in her life, and I think the scoldings, shaming, and being nailed to the wall were cathartic for Johnny.

She's a real force of nature. During cross-examination she was firm, professional and incredibly competent, but you could also hear the passion in her voice. This is a woman who's not only doing her job and doing it well, but also standing up for something she truly believes is right, and I think that's what makes her so inspiring to watch.

My daughter who is a freshman in high school, an athlete and a straight A student has been watching some of the Camille highlights of this trial……I think a lightbulb recently went off in her head of what she may go to college for now lol!! Thanks for being a powerful role model for young ladies. I also thank my wife for also being a great role model! Whether or not they win as a team, In my eyes they already won
That's amazing. It's such a great line of work as long as you're acting upon what you believe is just and right. I'm not in law as a profession, but my degree required some law classes. If I were less of an introvert, that might have been my calling too. I'm happy where I'm at, but I always admire good attorneys like Camille.

If you think about it, Camille and Ben and the rest of the team is giving a new view of lawyers. Before it was all lawyers are cold and heartless beasts out for the money. Now we can think of lawyers as compassionate humans who truly wants what is best for their client. Ms. Vasquez is exactly the type of legal professional I can look up to.
And it is far from the truth. I've been in legal field for 40yrs and have worked with amazing attorneys.

Every attorney wants the best for their client, it’s literally their job and they are on their client’s side (even if they don’t necessarily think they’re an amazing person, a good attorney advocates for their client nonetheless). You think she’s compassionate because she cares about her client but when Amber’s attorneys were doing the same thing all of you were at their throats 🐑🐑

Two of my friends, who are attorneys themselves, saw Camille's cross examination and said it was one of the best they've ever seen in real life. I concur with them, ofc. The way she handled it - she's strong, intelligent and extremely brave. Absolutely loved her in court!
But she didn’t rattle Amber though ..... if anything, Ambers composure and consistency actually rattled Camille much more . She got desperate to silence & cut off Amber and when that was unsuccessful she ended up revealing weaknesses and aggression in her own armour

Equatorial Journey, I disagree. She challenged Amber, over and over again. It was an incredible example of what a strong cross examination should be. Amber attempted to look unshaken, but she most certainly was. She asked Camille to repeat questions (to give her more time to come up with an answer), and there is footage of Amber leaving the courtroom during a break, and she huffed out of there, pounding the side door open. She’s a master manipulator, and doesn’t bat an eye at making up lies, but Camille’s questions had her shaken!

Eh, she isn't that humble. She had a bit of an attitude during the cross-examination, including towards Elaine Brederhoft whenever the latter asked some reasonable questions.
(For example, Ms Vasquez wanted to cite a message from Amber Heard, but missed out two key lines providing context. When Ms. Bredehoft pointed this out, Ms. Vasquez got annoyed, even though it is a perfectly reasonable objection. Another time, Ms. Bredehoft simply requested a copy of a document, and Ms. Vasquez said, "I will' in a very mocking tone. Totally unnecessary. And that is not even considering some of the incoherent questions that Ms. Vasquez asked, such as suggesting that Amber Heard had written the snarky message on the window, but not posing an actual question. When Amber Heard requested the actual question being asked, Ms. Vasquez said nothing and moved on. This also happened on at least one other occasion.)

I hope she enjoys this while it lasts. Don't get me wrong, I also think she did an amazing job. But I don't think it's impossible for them to have been on the other side of all this. Amber Heard didn't hire bad lawyers, she just doesn't seem to have a proper case (which is why they appear to struggle imo). No matter who she hired (even if she had somehow hired Vasquez), her team would've struggled just as bad.
Again, I'm not saying Vasquez isn't talented, but I also can't deny that she also happened to have the right case (public) at the right time which certainly helped imo.
I believe, It all comes down to, everyone is seeing thru Amber's lies... I mean, you hear Amber on the recordings and then she denies it! 🤦

I just watched a video by someone who got to be in the courtroom and watch the cross exam firsthand. He said that after it was over and all the hugs and happiness were over for the Depp team, she began to cry. It was such a big deal for her to get to be a voice for him. We already loved her, but this just really brought it up a notch in my opinion. (And yes it was a happy cry.)
So her and Amber both cried .. each for completely different reasons!!

There's many many more lawyers reacting and commentating for hours on this, like, LegalBytes, Emily Baker, and Rekieta Law(if you want to experience absolutely disgustingly beautiful autistic degeneracy in the chat).
As a final note, if AH could've cried she would've but she can't, she knows it and her lawyers know it that's ideal to garner some sympathy. None of that even matters when she claims to have deep lacerations all over her arms and feet, with a bleeding personal area from certain avenues of abuse, and yet no treatment at all necessary, she wakes up and makes JD coffee and sees his finger has been cut off WHILE SHE'S BEEN BLEEDING FROM HER ARM, FEET LACERATIONS AND PERSONAL AREA, and yet not a single picture of any of her injuries at all, no medical records, nothing. In fact she was partying a day or two later because JD had allegedly kicked her off the island.
