You could always use a matte spray or possibly rubbing alcohol which will dull the finish would prob make it look ten times better. Pretty much how a lot of collectibles are, they’re a blank canvas for you to re finish or re paint make something custom to your liking how you want it.

Keep an eye on eBay as well as Mercari and fb marketplace. Always check item descriptions on used ones to make sure they don’t have damaged ankles.
