I'm glad these machines of war are being collected from the former battlefields of Europe and restored back as a reminder of the horror and tragedy of World War!
I came across this predator some years ago at Beltring Military Show in Kent, England. I believe it was the first time it was exhibited after restoration. Beltring was/is a unique immersive experience. Participants are granted unique access to the vehicles. This tank destroyer was factory-fresh, it smelled of warm oil, fresh paint and petrol, oh and money, lots and lots of money. I can scarcely dare to guess how much treasure the Weald Foundation had to part with in order to bring this vehicle back from the dead. The staggering quality of both restoration and indeed the German design was very evident. It was as if the destroyer had driven out of the factory straight to some exclusive Knightsbridge showroom. Every track link was newly cast, crisp and bright metal, the rubber roadwheel tyres were freshly moulded, just beautiful. When the team drove the destroyer down to the main exhibition ring, I walked beside it, filming for a friend on his phone. It made the ground shake underfoot, the impression of extreme weight and power was quite startling. The tracks and running gear are vociferous, snarling and complaining loudly at changes of direction. That gigantic V12 was competing with track noise, transmission whine and the cooling fans. It was ear overload. I think the driving team were still carrying out shakedown tests at the time, I didn’t hear a single gearchange after it first engaged drive so they were being very careful with it. But above all, the destroyer had lost none of its sheer and absolute menace.
@Kyle Reese Cut the guy some slack nothing wrong with being excited about a jagdpanther. When was the last time you saw one on the highway?????????????
I build 1/35 tamiya German men to all machines as on field....the jagpanther is my 2nd fave under mark 6 3rd production....thank you for this so much AND YOUR WONDERFUL RESTORATION.
I guess the soviets had to deal with this monster mostly, as I reckon the Wehrmacht used them more on the East front than on the west....It must have been a terrifying sight for the Soviet infantry to spot one of these looming in the horizon...!
Well I’ve seen period photos of the crew who looked “well happy” after pulling off 5 wheels to reach a damaged inner. Also it must of been a blast having to start fires underneath you’re tank leaking gasoline to melt the frozen mud stuck between the wheels in a Russian winter to just get underway each day
It’s easy to understand why quantity over quality won the war... but it’s also easy to understand why so many people are fascinated by German armored vehicles. They have design superiority that attracts interest. The same can’t be said for T-34s and M4s.
Damn beauty... it looks better than the tank it was based on (Panther) + it's packing that 8.8 gun that's used on the King Tiger. Best of both worlds. Probably the 2nd/3rd best WW2 tank to be inside in.
Yes the Jagdpanther was VERY BEAUTIFUL an Cool an Sleek. it didn't suffer from as many problems as the hetzer an panther an king tiger an jagdtiger an elefant did. This thing would've been VERY Useful if after the war, us an the British an the Good Germans an French an Italians an Canadians an Polish had to fight the Russians. as we had control of the Rhur. Sean Mager what are you smoking, after the war the French were given Panthers to form a new tank core. However, they soon scrapped all of them as they were so unreliable. Nice to look at but a useless piece of military hardware that was poorly designed
That's the most beautiful sound of a starting tank engine, what a freaking monster. Glad I'm not the Allies/Soviet soldiers who were in their trenches listening to that. German power.
I'm amazed the Germans didn't make new rear stowage boxes specifically for the new rear profile of the Panther G chassis. You can see by the shape of the stowage boxes that it still use the 2 step side angles of the Panther A and D so it doesn't really quite fit in the Panther G. (From which the JagdPanther was ultimately derived)
ITS THIS,TIGER 1 AUS 3 AND THE STÜRMGESCHEUTZ......MY FAVORITES IVE GOT 3 TIGERS 4 GESCHEUTZ AND 2 JAGTPANTHERS IN 1/35TH TAMIYA OUT OF 60 GERMAN KITS AND 100 MEN ALL FULLY PAINTED AND DECALLED. .THE TAMIYA DECALS FOR THE MEN ARE GREAT.....IVE STILL GOT 25 TO BUILD....BUT MAN,I WISHED THEY HAD FULL SKIRTS AND DIfferent paint and zimmerit, but crap....with its grease bucket, its perfect as those tracks are great.
I had a hard time transporting mine. Had to remove the 88mm gun before packaging. Spent all day wrapping it. It's 1:35 scale though so I can fit it in my Honda.
5:45 I searched for "Jagdpanther hull" and found recovery pictures and wow. How do you find an abandoned WW2 tank just chilling there? 2 for that matter, amazing
I wonder what the police would say if they pulled you over in one of those haha! What a great looking restore. Germans were so ahead of their time when it came to weapon design.
Smooth job, chaps, well done! I have to ask, how many hours does the person driving this kitty have on this particular vehicle, or is it just that easy to drive? (:
They asked this question to the french guy who drove the french panther, he said this tank is very easy to drive compared to other tanks, including cold war tanks.

At least it didn't have to travel far to that show from their HQ - only about four miles or so I'd say.
I LOVE THIS TANK/DESTROYER.....OMW......such a beautiful beast....
ドイツの戦車のデザインは素晴らしい
One of, if not the best looking vehicle of ww2.
One beautiful deadly tank destroyer, one of my favorites , that 88mm pak 43 was really powerful and impressive
Love this panther the mos beautiful tank of WWll
What an impressive beast... 😮, even the tracks look aggressive 🫣🫡
They even look modern in 2019. Always loved these since I was a kid and seen a photo in the school library.
Beautiful sight to see the old beast still running!
I forgot how beautiful this tank is.

Tank Destroyers aren't Tanks.
I Like GermanTank From japan
Enjoyed every second of that! Jagdpanther is one of those AFVs that just looks 'right'.
What a monster , beautiful !!! Remember me playing COD WWII i drive a little Sherman and i see this coming to me , bad situation !!
Most beautiful tank ever made
Just realized the driver is periscope only in this thing. What a beast!
Now that was some skillfull driving!!
That guy has a light touch on the controls
Very good, that machine purrs along nicely. Fantastic driver, well and smoothly controlled.
What a sweeeeeeeeeet machine... love it
