In August of 2013, I was having dinner with my girlfriend at a little dive bar in the shadow of Quest Field, and we started talking about how unexpectedly great the 2012 season was, and what the upcoming season would bring. There was something in the air around Seattle that year, because I had this feeling that it was finally gonna be “our year.” It sounds ridiculous to say that, but I had that feeling all year long, and it was absurdly surreal that it actually was our year. Any other Hawks fans living in Seattle in 2013 have that same feeling? I tell ya, it was something in the air. But later that same year, they opened the first weed stores in Washington, so maybe that’s what was in the air, and my feeling was merely a coincidence.
No, it’s not a coincidence. I had that EXACT same feeling in 2013.🙋🏻♀️ It just felt different, right?!! I flew my mom down to SF when we played the 9ers. That Bucs game in front of the 1983 team was stunning. I remember being in the north endzone bleachers and people were talking about putting Largent in pads before the 3rd quarter then the miracle 2nd half started
They weren’t awful. Manning had 500 total yards of offense. They just had zero idea what they were in for against the LoB and, maybe - if we’re being fair - sorta drank a little bit of the national media hype.
This was the last truly dominant defense, and it’s going to be a long long time until we see something like this again. 2015 broncos were great, all time great even, but I think even Denver fans would take their 2013 greatest offensive season ever, over that 2015 team. Anyways, still love my Seahawks and Tariq Woolen makes me think of another 5th round physical receiver turned corner… I just can’t seem to place his name. Haha, Coby Bryant looking like something special too though, give them like 2 more years
I’m not really a football person but watching this gives me chills. I believe the Seahawks will make it to the Super Bowl. I’m a new international fan! 😅 I don’t know the rules or plays of Football.
I watch this go from being a laughing stock to drafting Sean Alexander and starting to come together a little bit with Matt hasselbeck and then Pete Carroll coming in with Marshawn Lynch and his history to adding John Schneider and drafting all these Richard Sherman's and Earl Thomas's and winning it all to now having let go of Bobby Wagner and Russell Wilson and watching this team be rebuilt all over again it has been an incredible journey so far wow 😳❤️
I was 11 or 12 just getting into football at this time and I fell in love with this team the game Richard Sherman had the pass def on Crabtree. Been a fan ever since Go Hawks! 💚💙
This Seahawks team would hold their own against any other team from any other year that gets mentioned as “greatest team of all time”. The LOB is always mentioned first and for damn good reason (Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Bam Bam Kam Chancellor, Brandon Browner, Byron Maxwell, Walter Thurmond, DeShawn Shead, etc) but this squad was deep all over on both sides of the ball. A DLine rotation of Michael Bennett, Cliff Avril, Chris Clemons, Red Bryant, Brandon Mebane, Tony McDaniel, Clinton McDonald, Benson Mayowa. Linebackers with Bobby Wagner, KJ Wright, Bruce Irvin, Malcom Smith. A highly underrated group of pass catchers with Doug Baldwin, JermIne Kearse, Golden Tate, Sidney Rice, Percy Harvin, Zach Miller. Russell Okung, Max Unger, James Carpenter, JR Sweezy, Breno Giacomini, Paul McQuistan on the OLine. Obviously a backfield with the great Marshawn Lynch and Russel Wilson (also a great fullback in Michael Robinson). And u had 2 premier special teams guys with Stephen Hauschka and Jon Ryan.
The Houston game was when I gained respect for JJ Watt. His absolute disgust in his team after giving up that lead, with blood running down his face, told me what kind of competitor and player he was!
My fiancé and I got together during the off-season of 2013 and she had never watched football and knew nothing about the rules or anything. I took her to her first NFL game week 2 vs the 49ers and she’s been hooked ever since. All she’s ever known is a winning Seahawks team, up until this season of course.
This shows that while the head coach is important, organizationally, the exceptionality of team effort and unity, by willing, intelligent, athletic & talented players, is more important.
I went to visit my brother in El Paso to watch this game. Before the game, Orange jerseys EVERYwhere in El Paso. A very few blue, white and green Hawks jerseys here and there. After the game? No orange anywhere!
Everybody talks about Sherman's rant after beating the Niners, but nobody remembers the outright disrespect of the shove to the face that Crabtree sent to him.

This was my first Super Bowl Game when I watched the Seattle Seahawks winning their first title in Super Bowl 48
I wish the would have showed more beast mode in this! Such a central part to the team and had some great runs.
I love this game. Every time the Seahawks have a bad game I just rewatch this one 😂😂😂
The glory days we will experience more Super Bowl moments like these again
Lord WTF this seems like it was 100 years ago are the good times gone forever? I want a brand New Killer Defense
I was at that TB game on the 50 a few rows up and the stadium was rockin
Who here after we got Jamal and are hype for LOB 2.0
There is no2.0 this defence will never be 2.0d
Yeah that was a historic defense and won't be replaced.
The defense sucks this year :(
@@davezedman they've got huge potential getting red zone stops and stuff they just keep letting yards up.
@@thejackrabbit877 I love going against them in fantasy football lol
That year was our best the best defense,we miss those guys.
We got this have faith and we will win this super bowl
Im so happy 💚💙💚💙💚💙💚
Super nostalgic video 💙💚💙💚
It was the best feeling of forever....
Best defense of all of nfl history
Already starting off the 2020 season insane, 3-0, Russell Wilson 14 TD’s. LETS GO HAWKS RING NUMBER 2 💚💙💚💙💚💙
Everybody talks about Sherman's rant after beating the Niners, but nobody remembers the outright disrespect of the shove to the face that Crabtree sent to him.
Dream team! If I had a time machine the first thing I'd probably think about would be making sure I am in that stadium on that night :) Hope they can do it again sometime soon. Go Hawks!
Hell, ya watching from Mexico GO SI HAWKS !!!!!!!
This team was awesome
I remember watching the NFC championship game with my dad when the ball was tipped and intercepted he full-on tackled me he was so excited for the Seahawks to make the super bowl let alone win it.
RIP to the legend Paul Allen ❤️🥹
Simply amazing
Excited for 2021! Go Hawks!
