- Join me on my journey as I uncover the highs and lows of flying with TAAG Angola Airlines! In this review, I'll be sharing my firsthand experience, from check-in to touchdown, exploring the in-flight amenities, customer service, and everything in between.
I forgot to add that my luggage also got left behind as well as the luggage of 5 other passengers! Luckily British Airways was able to send it to my address for free within 2 days of arrival.

Great review. Glad you were able to get your luggage back 😮 I think when passengers were complaining about Luanda international, they were refering to the old international airport. If I am not mistaken, the airport in the review looks like the new one. The old one was borderline unbearable and there was absolutely nothing to do there. 5hr layover being uncomfortable and having absolutely nothing to do. In my opinion, paying the extra €70 for a return ticket (eg. Flying with Emirates) is a no brainer, based on flights from Cape Town to Lisboa

As a Angolan, i have to admit that Taag is not making much effort to improve its service, even us we complain too much, not just because we want, No, they do no listen to their customer and it is not only about having new planes, it is about discipline, commitment and so on.
It's not that TAAG makes little effort to improve its service. They make NO effort to improve their service.
couldn't pay me enough to fly on TAAG, let alone their 737s

The only positive I have about TAAG is their livery. If they cannot take any Pride in their cabins, you have to question their aircraft maintenance standards; they were once banned from EU Airspace. I (sadly) would not fly with them, even if free. A new airport is due to be opened in their home city of Luanda (LAD) and new aircraft orders for the A220, 787-9 and 787-10 in the pipeline, however; the airline needs to change from it"s core or it will only be a short matter of time.before their sparkling new fleet become tatty, dirty and unloved. I don't think that is a fair excuse. Many airlines are based in developing countries and develop great products. Some of my family flew with them and had great reviews, others had bad reviews. The main complaint is to have a similar product for all passengers in order to make it worth it. If they do that they can grow greatly.
There are many airlines from developing countries whose airlines take pride in their product and customer service. You arrogant colonialist. 🖕
