For Mediator's first video in 2019 we have met up with Johannes Eckerström, the frontman of Avatar to talk about the Avatar movie, country and hot sauce. As well as the upcoming tour with Devin Townsend, future collaborations and creative plans.

I love that Avatar keeps changing and trying to challenge themselves instead of taking the easy route and making Hail the Apocalypse 2. He's right that the hunger has to be there. A lot of bands seem to fizzle out when they get to the point of finding success in a certain sound and never leaving it.
Every interview with Johannes the comments are all about how sexy he is.. but damn, that interviewer!!
