Pastor John I'm just going to take a moment to break from my binge of this video series to say a wholehearted and grateful THANK YOU for providing this resource. This feels like being taken under the wing of a wise pastor/father in the faith and being poured into in a way that I didn't realize I desperately needed as a pastor. You continue to be an incredible leader in the kingdom and for me specifically.
I started on the first video and I am hooked by the reality of the power of the word. I believe this is classic exposition; classic exultation of the worthiness of our God!
That emoji (🥲) is literally how I feel listening to him all the time. These vids literally made me respond the same way-thanking and praising God for his faithful ministry!
Hello Pastor Piper. If preaching is worship, why can't women preach? Also, what is the difference between preaching and teaching since women are not allowed to teach men? Thank you and many blessings.
Ok. Here's 1 Timothy 2:5-8 The answer is here: For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the witness for this proper time. For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying) as a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension. Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, with modesty and self-restraint, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly clothing, but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women professing godliness. A woman must learn in quietness, in all submission. But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. For it was Adam who was first formed, and then Eve. And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into trespass. But she will be saved through the bearing of children, if they continue in faith and love and sanctification with self-restraint.
Women are allowed to teach women titus 1. Women are not allowed to teach inside a congregation (1 Corinthians 14). But women have corrected men in there theology Priscilla and Aquila correct appolos. Women are to go preach the gospel Mathew 28. So yes women teach and preach in there right roles and this is worship. It’s worshiping in spirit and truth. How you carry yourself is worship (Roman’s 12:1). So just how you glorify God wether it be teaching, correcting, passing the gospel, or showing your faith by how you walk and express the fruits of the Spirit all tie to glorifying God. I hope that helps God bless

Preaching is more than teaching, but not less than.
Also, 1 Timothy 2.
