- A north London property developer has swapped his hard hat for a bee suit in his bid to protect wildlife.
Khalid Undre, 57, bought a parcel of land in Harrow over a decade ago and began to grow crops and took up beekeeping to pollinate his plants.
He started with six hives and now has over 300 hives spread between his honey farm in Harrow and other locations across the capital, like Enfield and Holland Park.
Mr Undre is passionate about protecting the local environment and hopes to have 500 beehives by the end of next year. He says there's plenty of room for more beehives and beekeepers in London and that this is something more people should be taking up.

I used to live on a farm that kept hives. The beekeeper would come every day to work with the bees, harvest honey and make stuff with the wax.
It was more labor intensive than I would have guessed but those bees were a lifesaver for the orchards
Is this the same Khalid Undre who was found guilty of failing to give food and water to 20 cows on his smallholding and of keeping a herd of cows in freezing conditions?
Yep
many places in london has a hive over concentration problem there need to be more bee keepers but maybe not in london
This isn't sustainable or beneficial to wildlife/biodiversity, something that Khalid claims to advocate for. We perhaps need more bee-keepers in areas outside of London, however, London itself already has a hive over concentration so this should be taken into account. A higher density of honey bees in London would impact other species of wild bees that these honey bees compete with. Also, this is the same Khalid Undre who was convicted of neglecting a herd of cattle he was responsible for on his smallholding back in 2014. People really should do their research before supporting this guy and/or promoting agendas that could be potentially harmful when the correct/additional information isn't provided. Real talk. It only takes a quick Google search to find this stuff out.
Any jobs currently..I have experience in beekeeping
Is there any bee related job available ???
