Thanks so much for the pattern and How To Video! I just finished a pair for myself for the first time and they fit like a glove! (or a sock haha). They came out so good and can't wait to make a few pairs for my family.
Hello! I have made this pattern before about 2 other times! This is my first time doing a Men's. I see that someone else asked about captioning this video. Would yall mind doing that! It's very helpful!! Please and thank you!!
I have a question @ 26:10 when your building the instep. Are you ch 1 and then sc into the same stitch? It’s hard to tell. Also are you maintaining the 58 stitches around (in my case)? And where do you close it off? Do you skip the stitch to close off the loop and begin the next round? Asking because I’ve never ever made socks before and it’s very hard to discern where each one of these is happening. Thanks
What I do is I keep a stitch marker at the beginning and end stitch of each row. Then I know where my last stitch is, and where to slip stitch in. You slip stitch, ch 1, and sc all into the same stich, which is the first stitch of the round. Make sure to tighten the slip stitch every time and keep a stitch marker on that first single crochet.
Would you enable the close captioning on this video for us deaf crocheters. This was uploaded in 2016 before UA-cam changed their algorithms to caption auto. Thanks :)
Either you made an error in the pattern or the pattern I downloaded has an error in counting. 3rd row the repeats. You have increases by 4 but my printed pattern says 40 (44-54-58-60) 60 being the mens size when the last row is finished. Any idea where the error is? You reference this part of the pattern at 22:18 ish.
@@CorenaGaroutte It's not his pattern, he's following a pattern by one of his sponsors, Yarnspirations. But, he needs to know about this so he can at least make changes in the video.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the error in the stitch count. I started this sock 4 times before I realized that I was not making a mistake and that the pattern is off. The number does jump...I agree with Corena on her number count. I'm making the women's size 7-8 and "52" is the number count I end up with every single time on the 3rd row repeats.
My seam is veering to the right. What am I doing wrong? It’s gonna be on the side pretty soon. Each new row I chain 1 and single crochet in the same space as the last slip stitch and single crochet all the way around. I made sure the count is correct on each row. I’m doing the size 7/8.
This is normal due to how stitches sit on top of each other. The seam is going to veer like that. It happens even when working in a spiral, you just can't see it because there's no seam, but if you use a "running" piece of yarn as stitch marker, it will veer off to the right. Just embrace the seam and don't worry about it. SC seams are never as bad as seams from the bigger stitches.
I cannot get this pattern to work out for the men's socks for the life of me. I'm always left with two really noticeable points on either end of the toes and it's driving me crazy! I've unraveled my socks 6 times now and even went and bought new Patons Kroy Socks yarn! PLEASE HELP!
Walter his count is wrong on pattern. 3rd rnd: ..... REP LAST RND 5 (6-7-8-8) times more His number of stitch for last round is off. If you add 4 stitch to each round x how many rounds you do you will get the correct amount of stitches you need. Don't follow his stitch number!
@@CorenaGaroutte Not Mikey's pattern, he's using yarnspirations pattern. I found first error in stitch count in round 2. Not even sure if I should progress or not if this is going to continue.

Mrs. Unfabulous I agree. There's a big jump in numbers.
He really really needs to fix that!
I'm thinking it should be 40 ( 44-48-52-56)

Hi... I love your videos. Thank you so much.
One doubt. If I'm using 4 mm hook...what measurements should I follow for men's socks? He is 5.10
To translate into a women's size just add 2 to the men's size. So he wears a 5 in men that's a 7 in women
The pattern isn’t available 😔
Mikey, I just printed out the Patons Kroy Sock pattern and it says 3.25mm hook but in parentheses it says US D or 3. I guess I should use the US D?
3.25 is a D size
I tried straightening out the seam and made the sock wrong and having to restart the top of the sock

The toddler size turned out bigger then my foot.Im THIRTEEN!
😂
404 error when I try to get the pattern for different sizes. Video no use if I can’t make bigger socks
you can find the pattern by searching on yarnspirations website, "Patons Toe Up Socks"
I love the videos by the crochet crowd, but the mens size is completely wrong!! Do not bother trying to make them..
