christos christou Video is not fake. In Lapland, Finland you can see northern lights like that. Its because in Lapland there is no other humanmade light and sky is clear. Even the stars can be seen. I go to Lapland every winter but I havn't seen them. Well I haven't tried but next time I want to see them! If you want to see them, go Lapland on winter and might be lucky to witness this glorious show on nature!
christos christou it’s a time lapse video. Also the stars don’t “move” (Earth turn) this fast either. They don’t actually change so quickly but slower. You can still see them change and it’s pretty awesome, even at lower pace. Otherwise it’s not edited. It’s that beautiful there.
Finland, Sweden and Norway...The band of Brothers. The homes of the most beautiful Northern Lights I've ever witnessed. I'm a proud Finn and I love my neighbours.
It is more than you can express in simple words. It is a dream image of something that is almost surreal. Very very beautiful....Amazing... Happy you in Finland ...
Such an amazing video. The aurora borealis is a beatiful sight that never ceases to take my breath away. Finland is definitely at the top of my list of places to visit when I want to see the aurora. Goodbye, California. Hello, Finland!
Promise sent me here...When I used to live in Fort McMurray, Alberta I used to see this... Its one of those things I could never capture on camera...This is perfect! Thanks for sharing!
En ole koskaan ollut Lapissa enkä koskaan nähnyt revontulia. Kun näin tämän videon ensimmäisen kerran, ajattelin, että haluaisin päästä sinne jonakin päivänä.
If you're lucky, it can happen like every night of your trip, or then there can be none :/ I think the season is from October to April..(?). I think most places where travellers hang out more, like in resorts, hotels etc., there are alarms for Northern Lights to let people know when to start looking up. (I don't know how that works exactly but I know that it exists- there are lots of people who travel to Lapland yearly in hopes of catching a glimpse of The ´Lights) If you decide to visit, good luck to you! I hope you see them (they're awesome) :)
Teemu Jokinen Thank you for your replay Teemy, I was in Finland few year ago but in wrong time and wrong place probably. I was in Joensuu, North Karelia which is quite south and it was in May - however it was lovely trip. But Northern lights is one of my "Must see" so some day... :)
benzfen Just asking but why on Earth you were in Joensuu? That is not the first place I would suggest to tourist when visitin in Finland. If you really want to see Finland. Cities like Helsinki and Turku is what you want to see when it's all about history, culture and shopping. Lapland and Archipelago Sea when it's about nature ect. But never Joensuu which is only known for their skinhead gangs.
CoolerFin I was on training there for two weeks. We planed to get train or something to Rovaniemi but we couldn't so just went to Koli - still enough to fill a bit of Finland :)
benzfen well, beautiful nature anyways :) I hope you guys had good time in that trip as well.. but next time, I really hope you get to see those Northern Lights as well, it's a treat. :)
Their intensity and color vary too, I've seen very intensive colored green ones, the mostly pink less intensive ones and once I saw ones that were absolutely perfect, with all possible colors included and they just kept 'dancing and dancing' for hours.. so beautiful.
Finland, Finland, Finland! It's the country where I want to be... pony trekking or camping... or just watching the Aurora Borealis! Finland has it all!
Didi you know that northern lights make humming and crackling sounds ? They're even more beautiful live .. like you're moving to another universe watching them
winter = epic win. i really wouldnt care if it snowed year round i love cold weather love the northen lights and love snowboarding, this is beutiful you kinda forget the worrys of life for a few short moments,
This is just so beautiful.. one of the best things our world can have is some actual mother nature beauty.. this day and age everything is just a dump.. thanks' for sharing the video :)
AMAZING ! HAVE NEVER SEEN SOMETHING MORE SPECTACULAR ! HARD TO BELIEVE THAT HUMAN EYES CAN EVER SEE SUCH HOLLY BEAUTY ! THANKS FOR SHARING A PIECE OF HEAVEN, A PEARL OF FINLAND !
I am very glad that I live in Finland. Here, no wars, earthquakes, or tsunamis. Finland is a safe, beautiful and diverse country. I love my country, and I urge you too strongly to visit here. I'm sorry if my English was too bad, but I do not have the words to describe this beauty, so I used the google translator ;)
Magical video! Aurora was a unknown phenomenon for me before. But only by seeing this video, it's impossible to say what kind of country Finland is. And frankly, discussing that after this video takes a lot of the magic away. Perhaps one should just enjoy this wonderful video and stop talking.
Finland, the land of Northern Lights!
No Kato jätkä se on SUOMI

Amazing... how often it's appears? I mean what is the chance if you go for a 5 days vacation to see it? And what time of the year is most likely?
If you're lucky, it can happen like every night of your trip, or then there can be none :/ I think the season is from October to April..(?). Yes.

Ooh! I can feel it caressing my soul. It feels so soft and warm and comforting.
I thank the earth's magnetic field for her protection against the sun solar flare and such magical scenery!
