The process involved repairing broken sections of the bakelite, carefully filling in and restoring its original look. I also replaced some of the graphics elements, using the technique of staining the paper with tea to match the vintage style.
To add a modern twist, I installed a Bluetooth module as an external feature, utilizing the existing phono socket. This required rewiring the socket, so I’ve added a warning label to the base for future reference. After all the work was done, I tested the Bluetooth functionality to ensure everything works seamlessly. Join me as I wrap up this restoration journey, blending vintage charm with modern convenience!
