Looks like a time saving device and not needing the spanner. BUT: Does it tighten up enough by hand to fully lock the shaft without it tuning inside the chuck under load ???
I see from many sellers (eBay/Aliexpress Amazon etc) that there are generally two versions they sell.. short and long.. I bought both (very cheaply and look good) BUT the threads are coarser than on my, very strange 20v battery version via an adapter lead, Parkside PMW 32 A1 (M7 fine thread) I ordered a different set for my Chinese Dremel type knock off, mains version which is M8. I would order the Dremel chuck in this video but can't find the thread dimensions.. I'll ask the Bike Gremlin now.
a good idea.. ! Apparently the thread is a very old design from 1877 or something. but I could ask. The dimensions on these chinese site only show typical dremel type rotary tools with their chucks but no tech data.. just approximations. Thanks@@moniahmed
I'm not sure - don't know if they've changed anything else besides ditching the charger. If it helps, these are the specs of the charger that came with my model, which uses a 12V battery: Primary (input): Rated voltage 100-240 V ∼, 50/60 Hz (AC) Rated current 0.8 A Secondary (output): Rated voltage 13 V (DC) Rated current 1.5 A SMPS - switched mode power supply Charging time approx. 1 hour Safety transformer short-circuit-proof Protection class II / (double insulation) Protection type IP20 Protection against solid objects with a diameter of more than 12.5 mm Fuse (internal) 2 A T2A
Hi.. enjoyed your video. I mentioned trying a Chinese alternative below in a comment on my very strange 20v battery version via an adapter lead, Parkside PMW 32 A1 (M7 fine thread). the thread diameter is 7mm but these M7 Chinese chuck inner threads even look a coarser thread in comparison. Is your Parkside model's thread Diameter 7mm? I looked at the thread pitch of my Parkside and my best guess is 10 pitch/threads in 6mm of length.. I don't know what the dimensions of the Dremel Chuck threads are.. perhaps there are others too?
Thanks for the link.. I went through it again and can't see dimensions of the thread fitting type or diameter mentioned.. (perhaps i missed it again) I presume it has a metric thread also@@BikeGremlinUS 👍👍
Copy/pasting it: I've measured the outer diameter of my (Parkside) tool: The threads have a 6.86 mm diameter (outer, main), and my G40 (imperial) thread pitch gauge fits best (that translates to roughly 0.635 mm).

Yes. In my experience, it holds pretty securely.
Thank you as I wanted to know if dermal 4486 keyless Chuck would fit on the parkside as I got a cheap China one does not screw in enough to tighten.

Have you spoken to Dremel support?

What type of charging adaptor should we use because now it comes just with charging cable?

See the description in this video (with thread details) - it’s the chuck that fits:

@@BikeGremlinUS that's very good of you take the time to get the details 👍🏻👍🏻
