How well does the actual fridge work? Since the temp controls are in the display, any issues with display going out, and fridge not working?

Do you guys have UA-cam app? I've never had a smart fridge before & I can see we don't have a Walmart app which is where we food shop from. I just had the 4dr Flex delivered & it's more suited for USA apps that we've never heard of them. The bluetooth is great for my UA-cam playlist to listen to & the radio options are great. I think ours is 4.5 version

I have the 4 door flex version. I used the flex space for drinks, but when the pandemic hit I switched it to a freezer to store additional frozen food.
Such a smart way to use this during the pandemic! That temperature control is super handy.

If your company takes part of 'perks at work' you can save a ton on Samsung products. I got our Family Hub fridge a year and a half ago for 2k.
So samsung does update the hub, hopefully for a while.
How long will the tablet last? I'm concerned when/if the tablet dies than what? You'll have a 21.5" screen that is useless.

Dang! Nope, no issues with my ice maker. The only thing I have an issue with is the water dispenser. It's so freaking slow.

I’m thinking of getting frig. I’m concern about having iPhone. Do you know does it work as well? The other thing is I’m concerned about the smaller shelf in the freezer. We’ve gone to several stores and I’ve noticed that it doesn’t glide back-and-forth very well. I don’t know if that’s because it’s just been misused in the store. Do you have some input in regards to that?

What I’ve experienced so far, I feel a Samsung Android phone would be a much better fit. The little bit of instructions they give you to manage your fridge, apply to Samsung phones and Google apps more so than to an iPhone or Apple apps
I have an iPhone and do not have issues. One thing to note about this fridge is the privacy policy (viewed during set up). Everything you put into the fridge becomes the property of Samsung. All your pictures, your calendar, shopping lists, the contact list from the email you use to set up the fridge and even what you say into the microphone (Bixby). I won't get this fridge again for privacy reasons, I don't put anything on the fridge and I set up a fake email address to use with the fridge. I'm not totally dumb, Samsung has me figured out! But, buyer beware! You give up a lot when you use all the functions of the tablet.

How's the ice maker? I have a 2015 Samsung Smart Fridge and the ice maker was slow as all get out. And, just a few months back, it completely broke. I have heard about many others having issues with the Samsung ice makers, and curious if they have addressed that with the new models or not.
So far, no issues with this new 5.0 version but I've only had it for a short time. I've had the 4.0 version of this fridge for about 1.5 years though and never had an issue with the ice maker, so hopefully that means the issue you were having is fixed now.

No issues with the ice maker, but the water dispenser is slow!
They did in the beginning but they worked those bugs out. I had issues with mine years ago but I repaired it after Samsung and their tech couldn't after 4 visits. I got all of my money back on my purchase under warranty. Then I repaired it myself. Can't beat a free smart fridge.

The new update to the firmware messed up the functionality with RingJust an FYI anyone buying this fridge who uses Ring. No fix yet. Hopefully an update will come out soon. When it did work it worked flawlessly. I have the same fridge.

I as a joke put my Samsung Tablet on my fridge only to have it stick. WTF? How? Well it turns out that the Samsung Tablet has speakers that have large enough magnets that make the table stick to your stainless steel fridge. Don’t believe me? Go try it!! I have been using it for 2 years with no issues. Pretty cool! :-)

It’s great for if you want to occupy your kids during breakfast or utilize for cooking videos amongst other things. Not necessary but if utilized correctly, it will add an extra convenience to your daily routine. Oh and to do lists!

I would avoid buying Samsung at all cost. Got myself refridgerator that makes sounds louder than my 21 year old refridgerator and customer service is simply terrible. They claim it is feature rather than bug and basicaly told me that they dont care at all about noise and my satisfaction. Feel free to UA-cam it and think is this device something you want in your house
