    What do I know….my company advised staff to “contract out” of national insurance , but when I retired I found my state pension was less, and within a year the company pension scheme became INSOLVENT and now I get a reduced pension under the pension protection scheme.

      How about we put our own people first instead of wasting it in corrupt Ukraine or on pointless net zero? Labour want money for nonsense, not public services, if they werent wasting it there'd be no need for tax rises and freezing pensioners, destroying the economy just to virtue signal, no wonder everyone with a mind of their own wants them gone, even worse than the tories, the new nasty AND dim party!

    At the end of the video where she's explaining what businesses apparently won't do with these tax rises... They haven't been doing that anyway, have they? So why all of a sudden are they being stopped from doing those investments now after the taxes when they simply weren't before.
    This woman is talking about large companies as well. Ones with CFOs. How much of a bonus do those CFOs take, as well as the rest of the board? How about cuts there before cuts to staff?

    The amount of money held offshore by UK businesses and individuals to avoid taxes is significant. According to a report by the Tax Justice Network, the UK and its territories are responsible for more than a third of the global tax avoidance each year, amounting to over $160 billion. This money is often funneled through British Overseas Territories like the Cayman Islands and Jersey, where it can be hidden from the tax authorities. Additionally, multinational companies use these jurisdictions to shift profits, contributing to tax losses globally.
    When it comes to business, the amount of money held in offshore accounts is also substantial, though it can be difficult to track accurately due to the complexity of international corporate structures and financial regulations. According to the Tax Justice Network, businesses account for a significant portion of the $10 trillion in assets hidden offshore by individuals.

    • @malaking9186
      @malaking9186 3 дні тому +1

      @ I’m not sure how much experience you have in this realm but most CEOs are promoted from within. They have years of experience within the field and then take those roles, on the same pay as the previous CEO was on. There is no such thing as excessive profit. We’re a capitalist country, not a communist one. Instead of the government spending more on failing public services by increasing taxes, they should have instead made those services perform better by investing on better people, better system, better structures. It is ridiculous that billions of pay rises were given away for no productive exchange. Thankfully, the world of AI is ever evolving and what Elon Musk will do in the US will be the blueprint for the rest of the world. Watch this space…

    Yes Rachel you've wpied the slate clean for millions of pensioners who relied on the WFP to survive in the colder months ....We have at least 3 more months to get through the winter .What about the poor souls who have been recently flooded ? It's bad enough if you have a wage coming in but if you are struggling on the basic pension how will these pensionerss dry their homes and stay warm?
