The huntress is hunting the beast!
As Yang tries to obtain some informations from a crime lord, she encounters a assassin who could rival her in raw strength. Thus, they engaged in an epic merciless battle that could crush their bones.
A battle between Yang Xiao Long, the sunny huntress from team RWBY,
and Leone, the sneaky assassin from Night Raid.
Behold! My biggest animation project so far!
I've been workin' on this for a VERY long time. It has been 4 years since I animated the last Yang vs Leone. And I've thought to improve the fight, but perhaps I got a little bit overboard.
Hope you enjoy this fight, I put a lot of effort and time on this one.

This animation is gorgeous and I'm amazed by how long it is. Didn't feel like a moment was too little or too much and I'm deeply impressed.
honestly just about the result id expect. both are fast melee endurance fighters. the winner is whoever can last the longest.
yang's semblence lets her dish out what damage she takes harder but once her aura is out she cant use it. her endurance is based on her aura and above average will power/rage. she is fast, can doge fairly easily, and can shoot from range with he gaunlets
leone has a willpower that can push her past fatal injuries. she wont stop till she passes out. even if her body says to pass out she says no and can last much longer than should be possible. that coupled with her regeneration means she is nearly unstopable unless u deal unhealable damage, ie blow her arm off. she has animalistic speed, can doge very easily
i think the most likely result would be they both die/pass out at about the same time, or leone just barely wins like here since once yangs aura is gone her will isnt as strong as leone's
In a way Boomstick from Death Battle would put it, "In the end, Leone definitely got the 'Yang' of it."

Hell of a fight dude! I can easily see the matchup, two close combat specialists who tend to either fight giant monsters or people with similar super powers. Hell, both even lost an arm to sword wielding lunatics at one point! I think the difference here comes in the fact that Yang's job consists entirely of close combat fighting these things, whereas Leone is more used to fighting in the shadows and getting one hit kills. It really could have gone either way, but it was awesome to see it go down in such fluid animation! Love your stuff!

Wow this animation is spectacular! The characters movements, sprites, sound designs and effects were amazing, and devil trigger playing in the back in the finale round got my pumped, I was legit was on the edge of my seat watching this. Yes Yang did lose, but what matters that this video was Yantastic!

the credits sequence was a very interesting and original idea (atleast for me XD Uu) , nice story and motivation , it has a ton of Bai Xiong's KOF / Mugen Fight animation vibe on this,god...it has everything that makes me fall in love with sprite fights and makes me watch it again

This was fantastic!! A great fight from beginning to end. Awesome animation that did a good job of making you feel the brutality of this fight, especially near the end. Speaking of the end I'm also very satisfied with the winner, I think it pretty accurate. I also like that even after that long fight Leone was ready for more. Overall 10/10👍👍

I love how each round as a different role :
-The first one is about both character judging each others skill
-The second is using strategt once they learn about their opponent
-And the last one is a pure brawl where they give everything they have left
Also using White for the crime lord is pretty smart since he's similar to Roman (and both are inspired by Alexander DeLarge funny enough)

Gotta admit I barely know anything about Akame Ga Kill, but this was wonderfully entertaining to watch, and the sprite-work is excellent.

I kept laughing at how Yang kept getting People's elbowed but was at the edge of my seat for that entire fight. (I did root for both, but was hoping Leone would win.)

pretty end it i know btw While Akame was paralyzed by Budo's electricity, this was more due to the nature of electricity paralyzing the muscles. The fact is she withstood the energy output overall. did did get back up only parlaxy for like a second but still yep btw so yah a stomp match too much
That was a long ass fight. It was exciting. Deathbattle usually just shorten their fights and dish out the winner too quickly at times.

I don’t know about that, Leone has pulled off impressive stuff in both anime and manga, i think one of the antagonists could even cause earthquakes but i’m nit too sure, been a while since i’ve last seen both RWBY and AGK
@@hybridepsilon2099 I think a big thing is defense. Their about the same in speed with both scaling to lightning timers (Mercury and Akame) and I think Leone does have an advantage in base strength but Yang has her semblance that lets her get stronger. So for defense Leone heals fast but she can still be hurt by swords and bullets unlike Yang while her aura is active. Yang has shotguns gauntlets on her wrist that are going to be doing substantial damage along with her massive strength. Powered up Yang can shatter a giant military mech suit, a punch like that along with the explosives from the Ember Celica will blow Leone apart

I don’t think Yang’s punches and ember celica gauntlets alone would cut it, Leone was durable enough to survive an explosion that destroyed an entire valley/plateau

now yes, while it is true that she grabbed a shield for some extra protection, it’s still a really small shield, and keep in mind that she was injured at the time, at that state the explosion should’ve killed everyone and especially her, else and yet it only knocked her out (it’s also a speed feat since she had to reach for Akame in order to protect her while the explosion had already gone off)

@@hybridepsilon2099 That was a special shield though otherwise Akame likely wouldn't have survived since she doesn't even have special healing. I mean Akame was basically unscathed by explosion. Plus I'm not sure about counting it as speed since Bols literally takes the thing off and throws it in the air with the obvious intent to blow it up plus Leone and Akame were not that far apart prior to Bols readying the explosion. To say Leone is durable enough to survive the explosion would only be valid if she didn't need the shield, the intent of the scene is very clearly that neither Akame or Leone would have survived without it regardless of size because this is anime and weapons have special properties especially in that anime (I don't remember if the shield was an Imperial Arms but the fact that it was unscathed by the explosion and protected Leone and Akame shows that it was special because a shield can not protect you from an explosion if you are engulfed in said explosion like Leone and Akame were but that is exactly what this shield did).

Does it say anywhere that the shield Leone grabbed is special? Or that it was a teigu? Leone’s durability by itself wasn’t going to protect Akame completely, which is what she wanted to do the whole time, protect Akame. And we even get to see a shot from above of the scene, Leone was bigger than the shield even while crouching, and only she had the physical prowess to keep the shield in position while withstanding the explosion, not Akame. a shield of that size is not going to protect Leone completely, in fact, as you said yourself, Akame got away almost unscathed, Leone had to take the explosion head on while embracing her. It’s evident since right before falling unconscious she was clearly roughed up. Moments before the explosion went off Leone was completely fine besides her missing arm, even if what you said about the shield were to be true, Leone very clearly took the majority of the damage regardless.
And it’s still a speed feat, because by the time Leone realized what was happening Bol had already pressed the self-destruct button.

This was a good match-up. Yang has strength, toughness, and gets stronger the more she takes damage. Leone has strength, toughness, and regeneration. Yang loses if Leone can beat Yang's aura to submission such that she can't survive big hits and transfer that damage intake into strength. Leone loses if Yang can burst her down fast enough that Leone's regeneration can't keep up with the damage intake.
Both have a time limit with their powers in that Yang's aura can break and takes time to recharge, and her increased strength is only temporary. Once her aura breaks, she sustains damage like a normal person and is susceptible to much weaker attacks. Leone has a similar weakness in that her imperial arms can only be used for so long before it taps out.

this isy ang powers ablity are ofc Aura (Able to use her Aura for numerous purposes), Forcefield Creation (Aura can be used as a full-body forcefield) and , Regeneration (Mid-Low Martial Arts and Kinetic Energy Absorption (Via Semblance), Energy Projection, Limited Fire Manipulation, Pseudo-Flight (Can propel herself using Ember Celica), Shockwave Generation, Resistance to Extreme Heat and Cold (Aura protects the user from sub-zero temperatures, allowing them to walk through a blizzard in casual clothing or be encased in ice without being cold, as well as extreme heat up to and including the heat of flames, being blasted with steam, and being submerged in lava without being burned and Explosion Manipulation (The upgrades to Ember Celica allow for the use of sticky grenades, which she can detonate after being released) and Above Average, Gifted Combat-Wise and give you her weakness Hot-headed. According to the writers Yang has slight difficulty against those who kick more often than not [However, this is only a minor inconvenience that hasn't resulted in any significant issues in combat]. Continual damage to her Aura will cause it to decay to the point where she can be left open to more significant damage. Aura's durability is cumulative; it will deplete with each attack she takes and can be brought down by characters of similar strength. Semblances drain Aura by a small amount and without it they cannot be used until it is recharged. | Suffers from PTSD from losing her arm [Which manifests as her left arm shaking]. and this is eone beside Leone_all stats higher she same ablity but more as assassin sop Stealth Mastery (Should be a proficient assassin who is skillful in stealth since she preferred sneak attacks to kill her enemies which mean much better vs someone like yang but still beside that Transformation and Natural Weaponry (Lionelle can transform its wielder into a beast, giving them danger beast characteristics, such as lion ears, paws and a tail Enhanced Senses (Lionel enhances the user's five senses greatly and . Can locate specific enemies from long distances Can react to sneak attacks and espite being sleepy so yes better senses... and also Extrasensory Perception (Can sense the presence of others, as shown here[ and here. She can sense bloodthirst as well as trace the scent of danger and yes she sense people underground and other places.. i mean akame did it.. so Body Control (Can manually stop her own blood loss AND HERE BIG KEY... Accelerated Development (Despite being unable to keep track of someone movement even with her enhanced sight, as the fight progress, she eventually adapts to it same but higher level tho Regeneration (High-Low; She can recover from her wounds if given enough time. Man, your fights are epic!!!!!!!. but actually I'm not forcing, but it could be interesting if you make your speic sprites public as well. It has been years old with looking at poor Leone sprites these days (Again, I don't like forcing people to do sometime. It's just my wish-like opinion)

Yang could have never won because she lacked what Leone had: Bloodlust and no qualms about killing another human being. In short, Leone is more experienced that Yang, since unlike Yang, she has no Aura and as such takes each fight way more seriously than Yang
