Great video. Properly using the remote can be frustrating for those of us not accustomed to them - this explained it well!
Thank you so much for your videos! They are beyond helpful so I subscribed, of course!
I subscribed! Great job explaining this remote! Cleaning the filter might be a separate video: it has to be dry when you put it back in. Glad you covered using the remote's Options: Reset Filter after each cleaning. :-)
Thank you for sharing. Helped me a lot.
You're welcome awesome thank you so much for watching
How do I set the clock on my Samsung ac remote? I can get the minutes and am/pm to change but not the hour. It’s driving me crazy. lol please help. Thanks
Thank you so much i love your toturial about this controler more blessed of u❤
You're welcome 😊
Hello,
I just discovered you. Thank you so much for this remote instructional video.
I have had my Samsung HVAC for nearly 2 years and after spending so much money and broken nerves, no one is being able to fix my unit.
Main problems (cooling):
- the unit is on 80, but it freezes the room to 74
-the unit turns on and off by itself. I was away for 3 days. I walked in, it had turned itself on. The thermometer on the unit said 80 and my home thermostat showed 65. The room was a freezer.
-when I shut the unit off, it doesn’t shit down. Instead it shows a 1 (just a number)
Then I have to turn it back on again, and then off and it’s only then that will go off.
I would endlessly be thankful if I get some feedback from you or anyone who has encountered these problems.
Thank you so much!
Yours is definitely something to do with a sensor that's bad or the receiver
@@TaddyDigest thank you so much! What part do you refer to as the receiver, or is it in general? Thank you again!
The timer is for the Auto Clean. It goes till 99 and shuts down. If you do not need that you can turn it off in the smartThings app
Thanks for your video. I'm struggling to change the time on my remote. Can you help? Thank you.
Thank you for this super helpful tutorial! I do have a question regarding setting the clock on the remote. I can't change it from AM to PM.... help!
Yours has a clock too. That's super nice.
It sure is!
I have not been able to change the clock settings, it wasn't covered.
@@jrcmac1 That is what I am looking for, How to set the clock
Can you help me how to set the timer?
Thank so much
Ty big help
Your Welcome Jerry
Quite useful, bro
Thank you Glad you think so Aleo very glad you watched 👀 😊
Hey folk, I have the same AC as you, I set up my timer on the remote to shut off after 0.5h and the unit didn't turn off, is it maybe because the remote was a bit far away from the unit? but the unit had the clock timer light on.
How to set the clock??
Thank you so much sir this is so informative! But my remote is not displaying anything but the button still works. What could be the problem? 😰
can you show us how you connect it to your iphone? im having trouble connecting mine to my iphone 😭
Thank you
You're welcome
Will you please do a video on how to remove, clean, and reinstall blower wheel on this samsung unit
Think I have a video on that I will try to find it.
nicde video...what does the clean option do on the remote?
You can download the manual on www.samsunghvac.com and you can look at the specifics
Use the auto clean function if the indoor unit produces a odor
Auto clean runs for 10 to 30 minutes depending on internal dry conditions the indoor unit displays the the cleaning progress from 1% to 99%
I liked your video on using the Samsung remote but I have an issue with all four of the remotes we received with our new system. It seems that setting the current time is not working like it should. After scrolling through the Options to Clock and then pushing Set, I would expect the hours field to start flashing but it starts at the minutes field. After pushing the Right Arrow button to save the minutes, it may or may not start the AM/PM to flash. I have (between the four remotes) tried to set the time at least 50 times. Only twice did it start the hours field to flash but before I could even advance the hours, the time just reverted back to 1:00 am (default value). Setting minutes is no problem, setting AM/PM may or may not work and setting hours just isn't working. Ever hear of this or know what the issue may be? Thank You.
I have tried and tried to set the time so I could set up the timer. No luck so far and setting the time should be easy but I agree that when I think I have set it then turn it off it reverts to the default and not the actual time.
Hi our Samsung remote doesn’t have any heat mode. There is only auto dry and fan mode. Is there a reason why
Your Samsung has to be a cooling only model
Ok, maybe you can help. I set mine to AUTO and to 69 deg. It's cold outside so it starts to heat and will heat to the set temp then the heat kicks of, fan continues to run (which is fine) but, the heat will not kick back on for some reason. I wake up at night and it will show a temp of 52 inside but will not be heating. I can change the mode to heat and the heat will kick on and... well, that's for another time. I would just like to find out what I need to do to get AUTO mode to maintain a set temp. Thanks for any help you can give.
Don’t use auto. He says that at the end of the video. Just heat. My installer said the same thing. Use heat in heating season, cool in cooling season. Auto is not for use.
I was looking on how to set the clock on this. Could you add that please
Yeah I can do a video on that
I will come back to this message when I do the video and post the link
Me too!
Are you able to turn down the display brightness on the unit? It’s too bright for me in my bedroom. I can’t seem to find that option.
I'm not sure
Hi, thanks for this very informative video. I have two questions. 1.) When I turn my unit on, it only displays the set temperature, not the room temperature. Also, when using the Heat mode, it is overheating by 10 to 15 degrees. What could be causing this? It is a brand new unit.

I hope you can help me. I have 2 Samsung mini splits in my commercial building. In heating or cooling modes both head units will randomly turn off and the good'sleep light will flash on the head unit. I have reset the units and turned off the timer but nothing helps. I have contacted the installer and Samsung and no one knows why this is happening. Thank you very much for your help.
I can definitely help you but I need you to join
Good video, and it helps understand the operation of our new Samsung 2-zone mini-split. However, in any "ON" mode (COOL or HEAT), the system seems to run continuously at low speed whether or not heating or cooling is needed (It's hard to believe this runs 24/7 and is energy efficient). Is this intentional or was it installed incorrectly?
Thanks for Watching Dan I will do a video and explain sometime soon
Mine seem to run non stop as well. Have you ever received a reason why?
I have come to find out that the inside units run at very low speed when not producing heat or cooling and this is normal, and the outside unit shuts off completely unless heat or cold is called for. The only things I don't like are (1) the filter (inside units) is accumulating dust and need to be cleaned fairly often and (2) the bearings and moving parts continue to wear at a very low rate. BTW, I have found that filter cleaning immediately improves the unit's ability to detect and respond to temperature changes quickly. I have my reminder set for 180 hours (default was 300 hours).@@truckguy6.7
Have one of these. How can I set the dry mode. It can move from 22 to 30 showing. Isn’t it suppose to be in the 50 to 60 range to control the humidity.
It will help to dehumidify, but it will not control humidity
how do you use the smart things app ?
I will do a video for you
It may be about a week but I will have you one out soon
What about the timer? I came only to see about the timer.
Is there a way the air will be directed to the sides instead of out the front?
yes
Can you tell me how to do that? I know I can make it go back and forth and up and down but not so the air goes directly out the sides? I'm not really to found of this appliance. Also, it doesn't shut off when it reaches the set temp so should I put it on Auto? Thanks for any help as I'm not too good at this sort of thing.
HOW CAN I CONNECT MY REMOTE TO MY SAMSUNG AC?!
How do I adjust the dry feature?????
The dry feature cannot be adjusted
Great video...unit came with a very poor instruction manual.
Thank you
when i click the heating mode, it doesn’t blow air and it just keeps turning off, pls help
Check the charge
Do this model throw the air left and right?
This model has adjustable veins to where you can throw the air to the left and the right
@@TaddyDigest I'm looking for that vein adjustment as well but so far have not been able to change the direction from straight ahead. Could you please direct me to where I would do that on the unit? Thank you
My unit says it does but it doesn’t.
@@TaddyDigest how do you make the air go left and right instead of up and down? The button for that feature on the remote doesn't do anything. Thank you.
Does anyone know how to adjust left and right airflow??
How to remove the cf off the unit after cleaning the filtrr
I have a video on that somewhere
You have to choose OPTIONS on the remote, then FILTER RESET, then SET.
hello, do you have code option fo ar12txfCawkneu. I have an error C163 best regards
you can find the code at vrf Coder
@@TaddyDigest many thanks but i have a mac… can you do for me please?
Why stand and wave the remote control when it's the one who has to explain!?
Thank YOU for watching Have a blessed day my friend

Worse remote on an AC. No display light how am I going to see in the night. Not user friendly so not good for older people. AC settings reset everytime you turn on the AC.
Hey That's a Good Idea
That would be great if there was a light
Thanks for commenting and sharing this info 😀
Thanks Kenneth
@@TaddyDigest many Ac's have display light.
I don't deal with many other brands of mini splits so I don't know but thank you for the information
I have not seen a wireless remote controller with a light
Now a household thermostat that's wired most of those have backlights
What brands have you seen of Mini splits that have wireless remote controllers with lights
This system sucks. I can’t get any heat out of my unit.
