Major, an Indian film, releasing in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam is produced by Sony Pictures Films India in association with Mahesh Babu's GMB Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and A+S Movies. It is directed by acclaimed Telugu director Sashi Kiran Tikka and features Adivi Sesh, Sobhita Dhulipala and Saiee Manjrekar.
Based on the life of real-life Hero Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, Major, the film, aims to show how this valiant soldier saved the lives of numerous hostages before being martyred by the terrorists who wreaked havoc in the Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai, India on the 26th of November, 2008.

The trilor of this movie is really breathtaking. We can imagine how thrilling the movie will be. We all feel proud of Sandeep Unni Krishnan for choosing the life of soldier than leading the life of a common man who restrict his interests to his family. I congratulate Adaviseshu and his team for making this film filled with patriotic fervour and heroic deeds. I also appreciate Mahesh Babu for producing this kind of adventurous movie and giving all kinds of support to the makers of this movie.

I served in the Indian Army for 30 Years and retired as a Colonel. I completed Graduation in 1972. Joined Indian Army in 1973. I was so impressed with Lt Arun Khetherpal, Param Veer Chakra 1971 Indo - Pak war. Battle of Basantar. I immediately opted for Indian Army. Its my life. Another Officer, Major Sandeep is my real Hero. I always admire him. If Gods gives me another birth, I would love to serve our Nation like Major Sandeep.

Being a Mumbaikar, The name Sandeep Unnikrishnan always brings memories of a soldier who dared to take those terrorist out head on. I was 8 years old then when I saw his name on the tv. Major Sandeep and those who defended our Country will always be an inspiration. Love and respect to the whole team and specially to the parents.
